chapter 1.

tonight.... number three was killed. that's means there's only one number between me and the mogadorians.

when we die we get a scar that tells us and once we get it we have to move but me and my Cépan Selina and sisters Azhia and Ariana don't. we got tired of running. but the rest of this is fake my life my back story all of it.

a cépan is a guardian, a warrior of my people from my home planet Lorien. she was asassigned to keep me alive. I never knew my mother and father all they gave me was a chest that I'm suppose to open when I'm ready, and what I mean by ready is when I get my strong enough, quick enough and when I get my legacies (powers) maybe u will be able to shift shape or have ex-ray vision! who knows

i'm younger then the rest I'm only 14 the rest would be around 17 or 18

nine of us were sent here. we fled Lorien when the Mogs. invaded I got my first scar when I was 8 (Miami) i was at show and tell. I got my second scar when I was 11 (Tampa) I was at a birthday party and the kid next to me saw it happening. so we came here to fort Walton beach and settled. I just got my third scar mean in they found number three. that means number four is next then its me. because I am number five

chapter 2.

"Ugh do I have to go to school Selina?" I exclaim

"Yes you do darby you not being there will cause suspicion" she says

"People miss school all of the time! It's called being sick!"

"The answers no Darby!" she says

"Darby can you please just get dressed and come on!" Azhia says as she passes my room.

"Fine fine I'll go! but I'm not going tomorrow" this is the basic morning routine argue, yell, eat cereal, take a shower, get dressed, argue again, and go to school.

"have your bag?" Selina asks

"Yes we go through this everyday and I always have everything" in my bag holds textbooks I dont need, a extra pair of clothes (just in case) and my phone that only has 8 numbers which are my friends Shelbie, Karleiz, Isaiah, Jason, Maya.. my crush and Selina, and the girls.

Me and the girls part ways while we go to our lockers. Our school Max Bruner Jr. Middle School is an ok place we have a lot of friends but not to much... you never know. these days..

chapter 3.

I making my way to my locker and that's when I see my friends and Maya she rushes over to me and gives me a hug which is bigger then I expected.

"Whoa hey Maya what's with the bear hug?" I say

"Oh sorry." she pulls away I regret saying that as soon as she lets go we go to my locker a I put everything inside. we walk t hrought the school and everyone goes to there 1st period then its just me and Isaiah. he knows about me. the rest of us too . I couldn't lie to him any longer I just couldn't. I tell him about the scar. them suddenly he pulls me into the bathroom and then he checks the stalls

"So you got the third scar what does that mean?!?" he says frightening me me with his anger

"that means number three is dead and now four is next then its me then so on and so on"

"this can't be happening man!

"I know I know. God my legacies need to start kickin in because I'm basiclly vinrilbal to the Mogs."

"hey what if you have one but its just not noticeable! Remember you told me that Selina said they could be shy at first!"

"Yea that's true but still..." I trail off "what of you can freeze time or have lightning powers" isaiah said hastly
