Sun and Fenran had kept a close eye on the fragile thing, afraid to break it with a careless quickening of breath. They both didn't know what the creature was so they strayed away from trying to find anything to pull the thing out of it's sleep. However, in the week that the creature was asleep Ranr's panic became apparent. The pristine man held up to high social standards had become easily irritable, jumpy, and rushed, contrary to the face everyone had come to know him as. Sun's only response was that of disappointment and disbelief. Ignoring his uncle, Sun focused in the peacefully sleeping creature that occupied one of the many vacant room's in his mansion.

Fenran was the thing's caretaker most of the time. His domain was relatively peaceful and he left it in the hands of his friend Lakrine. Sun made an effort to be around the creature as well, but had troublesome fairies to deal with.

It didn't really matter either way, because a week after Fenran and Sun and received the creature, they had peeked into its private quarters to receive a pleasant surprise. They silently decided not to bother it and give it some space in case something went wrong. They both had decided to wait a few hours before entering, hoping the creature would still be awake by then.

Unfortunately, those few hours seemed to take an eternity as both Sun and Fenran were subjected to be victims of their own minds. It was agonising and once they seemed that the creature had had enough time to gather its thoughts, they headed towards its room.

(Neither of them would admit that they had waited all that time to prepare themselves of a possible disaster situation).

When they arrived, the creature was surrounded by the (white) blankets and pillows sitting upright in a lazy, slightly slouched posture. It didn't seem to have noticed either of them as it stared at its hand in its laps. Its greasy tendrils of hair fell gracefully around it in various spirals.

It seemed to have heard them enter as it slowly turned its head towards them. Looking straight at them, it slightly turned its head before its posture slouched even further in what seemed to be a heavy sigh of distaste.

"Uh, um, I-no, we-us," Sun started. Fenran rolled his eyes, (even though he wouldn't admit that his heart felt like it was beating out of his chest in nervousness). Fenran laid a hand on Sun's shoulder. Sun stopped talking and closed his eyes before taking a large breath through his nose to calm himself down.

"What's your name?" Sun asked as softly as he could. The creature only tilted its head as it kept looking at them; or, at least, he thinks it was looking at them. That mass of hair sitting on top of the creature's head was doing an excellent job of hiding its face.

Awkward silence stretched between the two of them and Sun felt his mouth go dry. He wasn't so sure why he was so nervous but he felt as if first impressions matter. Sun looked at Fenran for help.

"N-N-Name?" An almost unheard soft voice questioned. Sun and Fenran's head snapped to look at the creature in surprise. They weren't sure if it had said anything. Their sharp movements seemed to have scared the thing as it cowered into itself, shivering as hands instinctively went to cradle the back of its head in what seemed to be self-defense of some sort.

"I'm sorry, did we scare you?" Fenran asked, his voice soft as he took a small step forward. The creature didn't say anything and the shivering only increased.

"We won't hurt you!" Sun hurriedly tried to explain. The shivering suddenly stopped as its head turned to look at them once again.

"W-Won't h-h-h-hurt m-me?" It asked softly. Fenran and Sun nodded but were at a loss as to what to do next. ot seemed to be nothing but a child and both them had no idea how to deal with that. Sure, Sun was expecting a child soon to come, but that didn't mean he had experience. Children were, difficult to say the least.

"Yeah, we just want to talk," Fenran said. The little thing turned its head.

"T-Talk?" It asked curiously.

"Yes, talk," Sun confirmed. After that, the creature seemed to have relaxed and settled in uncomfortably within the sheets.

"Um, uh, I wanted to, uh, start with asking if you wanted to clean yourself off?" Sun asked shyly. The creature seem surprised.

"C-Clean?" Fenran nodded his head in confirmation. The creature looked down to its lap and started fiddling with its fingers.

"O-Okay," it said hesitantly after a few tense moments of silence. It the occurred to Sun that maybe cleaning held a different meaning between the them and the creature.

Sun hurried to get a lukewarm bath ready, as well as some clothes and new bed sheets before a thought invaded his mind. He turned around and opened his mouth to ask the question but Fenran asked the question for him.

"If I may ask, what's your name?" The little thing tilted its head curiously.

"N-Name? M-My name?" It asked. Fenran and Sun nodded. It took longer than expected when minutes passed and thee creature seemed to be lost in thought, trying to find a name before shrugging its shoulders in cluelessness. Worry settled on Sun's shoulders and hw couldn't help but feel pity towards the creature.

"Y-Your n-n-name?" It asked before ducking its head underneath a cage of arms in what seemed to be self-defense.

"I'm Sun, and that's Fenran," Sun hureiedly tried reassure the creature as he pointed to the now wary-looking man. The creature's head poked out of the skinny limbs and looked at them before burying its head in its arm barrier the next second. Sun huffes out a breath and started planning out questions as he got the creature's bath ready.

So, uh, it's been a while...

I'm sorry and this chapter is short and poorly written but since school is out, I plan to write more (hopefully) and update more often.

Thanks for sticking with me, well, until next time.
