Everything in me was saying to leave, but I refused to let these two fuckboys run me up out of this party. I walked back across the street and into the backyard where Diante and Mateo were talking with Emmanuel, I saw Luka staring at them and I could tell he was wishing he had his gun.... I started to walk over to Emmanuel but someone but their hand on my shoulder stopping me, I started to cuss that person out but it was Ethan's mom... my grandma; she was just barely five feet tall even y'all wearing heels, she had golden brown finger-waves with red highlights and she was built like the Pillsbury Dough Boy..... normally I would've been pissed but something about her eyes kept me in check. I followed her in the house and up the stairs to what I was guessing was her bedroom and she pointed to the bed, Emmanuel said she was a woman of few words but when she did speak she had the power to break down any walls you had built up so I kinda figured why she had brought me up here......

"My son..... didn't know about you Elijah and if he had he would've been there for you, my son may be a lot of different things; cocky, hustler, womanizer...... but one thing he has never been is a deadbeat. Every weekend he had Emmanuel with him and when he was locked up every visitation he demanded his son be up there and had he known about you then you best believe that you would've been right there with your brother......" She said quietly.

"It's just hard..... I spent the last nineteen years of my life believing my dad was dead, murdered by my little brother's father then I found out the truth and...... it's a lot to take in and I don't blame him but it's something I have to get used to." I said avoiding her eyes.

"It's going to take some time and Ethan my come across as a hardass but on the inside he's all fluff, that boy came over her crying like a girl when he found out you were his son..... he felt guilty for not being there." She said smiling.

"He had you talk to me didn't he?" I asked smirking and she nodded. "Thanks and I'll try to be less of a dic.... brat towards Ethan and Emmanuel, umm I'm not exactly what to call you." I said.

"My grandkids all call me Big Mama, you can call me that...... so how long have you and Luka been dating?" She asked and I almost choked, before I could refute the claim that me and Luka were dating at all there was a quiet knock on the door and Emmanuel stuck his head inside.

"Elijah, uhh Dad wants to talk to you......" Emmanuel said and I looked at Big Mama and she nodded. "She didn't try to make you feel guilty about wanting to leave did she? I swear if it was up to her then none of us would be able to leave."

"Why are Diante and Mateo here?" I asked just remembering that Fuckboy #1 and Fuckboy #2 were out back.... if they were still here.

"They came to get some weed and Mateo is talking to one of our Bria..... how do you know them?" Emmanuel asked as he stepped out into the backyard, I guess my facial expression gave away my disgust at them being here because Emmanuel nodded but didn't say anything. Next thing I knew he was walking over to them and started pointing at me, Diante smirked then stopped because Emmanuel said something and Diante almost looked....... scared.

"Just say the word and I'll light this whole place up." Luka whispered in my ear.

"Calm down Billy The Kid, it looks like they're leaving....." I said watching as Diante and Mateo dapped up Emmanuel and walked out the backyard. "So you ready to get outta here?" I asked, the thought of Diante and Mateo being here left a bad taste in my mouth.

"Aight coo let me make me a to-go plate and I'll be ready, go tell your people that we're leaving...." Luka said smiling then walking off.

"Ayy Elijah umm..... look me and Dad wanted to know what you're doing Monday? I....we were thinking maybe we could all go out to eat and get to know each other, maybe you could tell me why you looked like you wanted to beat Diante's ass when you saw him." Emmanuel said.
