"Scrible... Scrible... Scrible..."

Pens on the papers only sounded inside the office, it was a typical afterall. Stacks of papers piled on the table, a cup of drink at my side and more papers to fill.

I furiously write down words on a sheet of paper, creating a journal as an assignment for my law class, though it wasn't due until next week.

"Kath, may you please pass my red backpack?"

I looked up as I heard my best friend, Lousie the Student Council President. We've been bestfriends since ages ago, and we're inseparable since the day we met. Dropping the pen that I was holding, and I looked over my left and found red bag that she mentioned. I handed it to her and she gets a folder filled with papers that were supposed to be signed.

"Are you fine?" She asks me, her voice laced with concern. She stops signing the paperworks.

"I am, it's just another assignment." I nodded as a response. "It's nothing compared to what I can handle."

"Like taking a bunch of different courses for the sake of humanity's fall?" Great, sarcasm works with her too. I snorted at this.

"It was my choice, I had a lot of time in my hands anyway. I can manage my responsibilities well." I gave her a quick look before taking up my pen and continued to write. "I'm doing this for myself, and I'm doing this for my family."

Lousie heavily sighs at me. "I'm amazed how you do that while you help with your family business."

"I do my best just to get B+ and above to pass. Nothing more, unlike you, you get A and above all the time." I chuckled as I scanned over the things I wrote in my journal. "Your standards are higher than mine."

"Maybe, but you are over working yourself." She notes at my situation, I could feel her gaze beside me. "You're already talented, plenty of people would kill just to have skills like yours.

"My current health is fine, I'm doing well." I defended lightly, wrapping up the final words of my journal and arranged the papers. "It's nothing to worry about. I have already a bunch of people worrying about me behind my back."

Lousie nods, "Alright, I won't fuss over your health anymore. Considering that you are fine. Didn't the head mistress told you to come at her office? I bet it's all about the new gossips around the Academy."

"Gossips?" It piped my interests. I was always behind the news, everytime.

She shruggs. "Yeah, you didn't know?"

I shook my head and raised my watch near to my face. I read the time, it was almost for me to be in the head mistress' office. "No, what kind of gossips?"

"I don't know neither. I'm not a chit-chat person, you are good enough to know about those, Vice president." Lousie gives me a smirk. She pats my back while at it. "You better run."

I chuckled and packed my things in the bag. "Yeah, I will. Later President."

I opened the door and bid her goodbye. I scampered down the hallways, avoiding a bunch of people as I tried to take the shortest route just to get there in time. Why does this academy have to be so big? And with plenty of students?

"KATHERINE!" I heared my name being called by someone familiar. I looked behind me, Shiori running towards me and I quickly stepped aside so she won't bump into me.

She immediately halts and faced me with a wide grin on her face. "I HAVE NEWS!"

I rolled my eyes, with that loud voice, my eardrums are going to burst.
