A/N: I was reading in my engineering book for school and came across some photographs of snowflakes by Wilson Bentley. Intrigued, I googled it and found so many pictures of beautiful snowflakes! Something I noticed, though, is that when you look at the pictures, the snowflakes are all unique and symmetrical, for the most part, but there are always tiny imperfections that make them even prettier. That's where this song comes from. Never feel like you need to follow.
Heard you're in a tough time
Heard you're running out of time
Heard you got some problems messing with your life
It'll be alright
You're saying you're not enough
I'm here to say you're wrong
Because the perfect imperfections are what have
Made you you all along
Yeah, you have that symmetry gone just a little asymmetrical
The pretty side of your mistakes, I'm telling you it's not your fault
So remember that your problems are just six sides in the making
You're like a snowflake
Heard the storm is shaking you
I say the storm is shaping you
Right now you'll tell me that's a lie but
Later you'll admit I was right
'Cause, you have that symmetry gone just a little asymmetrical
The pretty side of these mistakes, I'm telling you it's not all your fault
So remember that your problems are just six sides in the making
You're like a snowflake
Solve one problem, add a tiny crystal
Sometimes solving adds a whole branch
Later you will finally see it all
And all your problems worked to your advantage
'Cause, you had that symmetry gone just a little asymmetrical
The pretty side of your mistakes, you'll know it wasn't all your fault
You'll remember that your problems were just six sides in the making
You're like a snowflake
