Kylah's POV
I honestly think I can see a cabin out there, and I wouldn't have said anything if I wasn't sure.
Not with all the people that we lost.
I just hope that someone's there, or that at least there's some food.
Maybe, if we're lucky, we'll find some ammo. Who knows, this could turn out quite nicely.
Maybe.
Clementines POV
I've only been walking around for maybe 15 minutes before I hear a faint voice talking in the distance.
I can't quite make out the words but I know it's girls because of the pitch in voice.
I don't know if I should hide or run. Maybe they're friendly? But what if they're part of a group?
Aly's POV
We've only been walking 10 minutes before I hear rustling somewhere. Immediately I stop and listen. I can hear it.
I shush the others with a wave of my hand and walk silently closer and closer to the source of the noise.
The rustlings stop. Then start. Walkers aren't this stealthy.
"Hey, we're not going to hurt you. Please come out, there's only three of us..." I trailed off.
"But if you have a gang we're not afraid to whoop your asses." Kimi added, a strong tone in her voice.
A little girl, 11 or 12, walked slowly out of the bushes, looking all 3 of us in the eyes.
"I-I'm Clementine..please don't hurt me..."
Kylah's eyes softened at the sight of the little girl, and my heart swelled. We both had little siblings before shit hit the fan, and it was absolutely stunning to see a kid.
"Hey, sweetie, we're not gonna hurt you, but please tell us if you have a group," Kylah spoke from in back of me.
We all took a half step forward, just as she moved hesitantly toward us. She seemed cautious, overly so, like she knew that not everyone was here to help, something I struggled with, and I was older than she was.
"I don't have a group, I've survived only a month after my group...." She trailed off, looking at her feet.
Kimi's eyes finally softened as she realised that this girl had lost all she had too.
"Don't sweat it, we've lost others too," Kimi spoke quietly, not wanting to relive it," You should come back with us. You'll be safer and it'll do us all some good to have you around. I have to warn you though, we don't have the time and effort to baby you. You have to watch your own back, as there's only 3 of us,"
Clementine hesitated for a good couple minutes, seemingly contemplating the pros and cons to this. After she finished deciding, she took a step forward and spoke again.
"Deal."
