Kylah's POV

Although Aly had said she'd take the first shift, I traded in around an hour later, knowing tonight really emotionally drained her. She'd cared for  each and every one of the people that had died and it really hit her hard to see the pictures of the people she had loved so much, a reminder that they were dead. I sat with her for a couple minutes on the roof before she went inside, just looking at the stars. Although we could see walkers roaming around in the distance, they were no threat at the moment so we let them be and didn't alert anyone.

"Do you think they're out there?" Aly timidly asked," I mean, some of them never came home, and others were never shot after/..." She trailed off, looking down at the roofing.

"Well, we know that 9 of them were turned and shot out of 15, not including us. That makes for 6 left over. Three of them never came home, three of them turned before we could do anything," I recapped.

"So that means?' Aly questioned, she was now looking me directly in the eyes, and had hope in her eyes.

"Maybe. Just maybe they're still out there. We might see them again, don't worry," I gave her a hug and we sat there for a minute, looking at the sky.

"I think so too....Thanks Kylah," She released me from the hug and sighed," I really hope we see them again some day, and I know I'm going to regret saying this but, I want to see them, dead or alive,"  Looking at the ground, she made her way down the ladder and landed with a thump on the floor. I made sure to listen for the pattern her feet made on the wood flooring.

Once I had made sure she was in bed, I sighed to myself.

    " I hope you're right, Aly, I really do,"

       Clementine's POV

Waking up, I heard yelling from one of the front rooms. It was just Kimi, Kylah, and Aly, but I heard something clatter to the floor.

Running to see what was wrong, I was greeted by the three girls sitting at the kitchen table, with a deck of cards between them.  Aly was hunched over laughing in her seat, while Kimi was looking very smug. Kylah was looking frustrated, and didn't look happy.

They hadn't noticed me standing there when Kylah yelled "I DONT WANT TO DRAW FOUR MORE CARDS I CALL BULLSHIT ON THIS GAME AND BULLSHIT ON EVERYTHING YOU LOVE" Which only made Aly fall off her chair in a fit of laughing and Kimi let out some laughs herself while Kylah cracked a smile.

I stood there for a while, and they were all so focused. When it came to Aly's turn, she quietly said," Uno,"

Kimi bust out laughing and Kylah shouted, slamming her fists on the table, "hOW DO YOU EVEN HAVE UNO I HAVE LIKE EIGHTEEN MILLION FUCKING CARDS,"

Aly eventually won the game and I came out of hiding. They all instantaneously turned to me and looked ashamed. "We found Uno?" Kimi offered. I laughed and sat down with them as Kylah dealed another deck of cards, grumbling about how it was a "bullshit game" and how "they screwed me over". As each game of Uno passed, there were various winners and I quickly learned that these girls wouldn't hesitatate to sabotage eachother in a game of uno.

We played Uno for a long time when we heard a knock at the door. All of them seemed suddenly alert and very aware  that they couldn't just pretend they weren't there, as they were laughing loudly just a couple seconds before.  They rose slowly out of their chairs and climbed the ladder, trying to get an aerial view. I stayed downstairs, and just hoped they would be okay.

Kimi's POV

We stood on top of our roof, trying to get an aerial view. There were three guys, one old, two around our age, holding guns.

"We can't fight 'em," Kylah whispered.

"Ay!" Aly yelled down," What are you doing around here?" She stood with confidence, trying to intimidate them.

"We live near here, and have seen y'all around. Just came to say hello," The old man replied with a smile.

"Why do your boys have guns then?" Kylah cut in, eyeing the guns suspiciously. She was shifting her weight between her feet, and was tossing her machete back and forth between her hands.

"Just in case you don't cooperate, but I don't think we'll have a problem, will we?" It was a challenging tone, and  he smirked at us while his men raised their guns at us. "Why don't you and your friends come down here and talk? And bring the kid too,"

I sighed and motioned to Kylah and Aly to go down and meet them. We got Clem and shuffled down to meet the group down below.

"Well now that you've come down, we can talk nicely, but if you dare make a move or run, we'll have a problem, okay?" He looked at us menacingly, and the other two's guns were pointed at us. We nodded in response to his question.

Kylah shifted a little, machete in hand in the silence that followed. A bullet was shot near her feet and we all yelled, Clem even screamed. Aly shoved Clem behind her, an action to try and protect her. The old man smiled at our obvious discomfort.

    "Now, come with us,"

What have we gotten ourselves into?
