No matter how prepared I thought I'd be, but nothing could prepare me for what was coming.

Brandon gestures me to follow him. He takes me to a dark cave - well, it was at first.

I saw all sorts of other elves going into the cave. "I don't understand why you want to learn how to fight, yet you have powers and gifts like no other." Brandon quietly mumbles to me. He only confused me more. Of course, I was shocked.

"What are you talking about?" I nearly left my jaw open in shock.

"What do you mean?" I asked. Brandon shook his head like everyone knew what he was talking about. Then, he stared at me like I was out of mind when he noticed I was serious. "Pardon me?" Brandon shook his head in disbelief, "You don't  know that you hold magic within you? Or your sister?" I stood there frozen like an idiot. Brandon began to laugh in disbelief, "HA. I don't believe this! You don't know that you're not human, and you are supposed to save the entire realm!"

Now I felt stupid that I hadn't asked Maria or him about the legacy or proffesy. I kept on walking with him dumb - founded. I was surprised that I wasn't human, but more embarrassed to say anything but, "How are my parents human than?" Brandon tolls his eyes in reply.

Now I know: I was destined (for who knows how many years) to not only save my own kingdom, but a world. Great. To add on to that, I have to fight the most powerful woman in the world.

"What is the proffecy?" I finally let out. "The Proffecy of Truth will not come true if I tell you. All I am allowed to say is to follow your heart." Brandon glares across from us as he speaks, "That is, what you are leaded by, correct?" He glances at me generously with curiosity. I silently nod and feel my head remembering my tiara.

Author's POV: On the cover, you can see what she's talking about. There's not many ways to explain it.

May's POV:

I let out a small sigh of relief as I feel the small silver braided string around my head.I didn't even pay attention to the fact that I wasn't soaked. Now that I think about it, when I came out of the magical lake, I wasn't wet at all.

As I look ahead of us I see beautiful blue lights on the ceiling of the cave. Other elves are all scattered across the perfect cave. At the end of the cave, at the stone wall were swords, axes, and other weapons hanged. To the left of them was armor with a variety of green outlined in gold. I've never seen anything like it. They kept their armory a good secret. No one would think of looking in a cave. "What are the lights from?" I wish I had eyes at the back of my head so that I could see everything. The cave gleamed like how the sun did on the lake I came here from. "Magic." Brandon sighs.

I hear droplets below me

I hear droplets below me. I glare at my feet which had no shoes on. Water lay below my feet. The water probably had a spell on it.

"Here." Brandon tossed me some armor and a sword. "I'll teach you to fight tomorrow, for now," he thought for a moment, "go from experience."

"We're at the boarders of our region, where The Dark Soldiers come." He whispers in my ear mysteriously.

I prepare myself for the unknown.
