How can anyone fight in a dress?

I growled as I tried forcing the armor over the loose skirt of the night gown.

Snickers come from behind me.

I secretly roll my eyes and ignore it.

As I hopelessly sigh and give up, I sit on a rock near me.

"Need help?" Maria takes a few steps closer to me. If only I had pants. But nooo, ''Tis improper for a young woman to wear a man's clothing.' Mother would say, 'You shan't- mustn't lack a feminine behavior.'

At first I didn't know what to say to Maria. At home everyone would ask me, 'May I help you?' and I would say, 'You may.'

I hesitated for a long few seconds, thinking about what to say back. "Yes, please." I sheepishly groaned.

Maria stopped laughing, but you could see that she was still amused. Maria forced back giggles. A slight grin still remained on her face.

Maria quickly ran to the left of us to grab green leggings and retreated back. "You could change behind this wall." Maria pointed to a large enough crack in the wall to fit me going straight and then turns to the right, "I'll cover for you."

As I change I hear a THUNK THUNK THUNK  from drums. The chatter outside turns dead silent. By the time I change into my armor and leave the crack everyone is frozen still. No one moves an inch. All of the elves glare around at eachother. A crow's caw as loud as a lion hits the air in a blood thirsty force. The caw was the wake up alarm for war.

"Remember this: this is only just  a little glimpse." Brandon murmurs shoving me out of his way. Everyone begins charging out while holding a weapon, prepared to fight. "Wait! I don't have a weapon!" Brandon just ignores me.  I know this is sort of mean to say but I think that he's a little mean sometimes but I bet that he's nice. "USE YOUR POWER!" Someone yells back. I don't know how! I felt like sobbing my eyes out. It was so much pressure. How was I, clumsy me, suppose to defeat the  queen?

I rush outside with the rest of the soldiers. I don't know how to fight. Large, discolored soldiers jump across the town by a block with each jump that shook the ground. They were bulky and muscular, they're facail expressions seemed bothersome while uncomfortably cruel and aggressive. The trolls had different colored hair. The different ones I saw were green, blue, and black. I wanted to whimper like a baby.

I look through my book.

TROLLS:

Trolls are accompanied by eternal strength with no limit. Their stronghold is the ability to withstand any sort of pain. The only way to clear out a troll is by attacking the weakest spot with your sharp weapon of choice or by a magic spell. Only use a magic spell if experienced.

"Only use a magic if experienced" echoes through my head. I hear a high voice scream; it wasn't a female though. A scrawny green version of an elf starts screaming and hoping from people to people attacking them.

"THATS THE PRINCESS!" One screams. The word goes around and the marching battle stop frozen in its tracks. The trolls and goblin all gather around me. I was trapped.
