There is Brooke and Ryder's POV in this chapter of the same event, but just so you can get an idea of what they're both like. It is not like this for the other chapters.
Brooke's POV
I laid on my couch reading a bad boy love story (my obsession) on my iPod. It's a Friday night, and of course, I have no plans. My mom was on a weekend business trip (like always). My 19 year-old brother was at his best friend, Taylor's, cabin up north for the weekend. Matt and Taylor are like brothers, so Taylor's like an older brother to me.
This is how my weekends usually are; spent home alone. Unless Lani and Michelle (my best friends) come over for a night or two. Otherwise it's just me, myself, and I. I don't like going out places. It gives me anxiety and I'm bound to make a fool of myself somehow.
I continued reading. "Lies!" I yelled at my iPod. All these stories of bad boy's falling in love with the good girls is bullshit. A bad boy falling in love with anyone is bullshit! They'll just go from one girl to the other until they run out. These stories are fantasies that just raise girls hopes just to get them crushed in the end. And I'm obsessed with them... "Stupid, stupid books."
DING DONG DING DONG DING DONG DING DONG DING DONG
Who the hell keeps ringing my door bell? I peeked out the window and saw four guys who looked like they were my age: 17. My heart started pounding while I jumped to conclusions that they were going to break in until I realized one of them was my friend, Derek. Relieved, I ran to the door and opened it as the doorbell continued to ring. "What the hell, Derek?" I yelled at him. One of the guys behind Derek chuckled. Woah, was he hot. That's actually an understatement. He had on a leather jacket over his white tshirt. You could tell he was toned. His shaggy, dirty-blonde hair was messy, but in a sexy way. His dark jeans fit him perfectly. So sexy. "What are you laughing for?" I asked him. Just because he's the sexiest thing I've ever seen doesn't mean I'm going to let him laugh at me. He looked at me with these beautiful bright green eyes. I could stair at them all day. A smirk appeared on his lips. I rolled my eyes.
"Can we come in?" Derek laughed. I sighed and let them in. Derek came in first, taking his shoes off. A ginger, along with a guy who I can only describe as a swagget, followed behind taking their shoes off too. Derek and those two took a seat on my couch. The sexy guy stood in the doorway looking at me. I changed into spandex and a purple tshirt after school because they're comfortable to me. He was definitely checking me out.
I felt my face heat up. "Are you coming in, or not?" I asked him.
He stepped inside smirking at me. "Did I make you blush, princess?" he winked.
Princess? No. Nuh-uh. My stomach started to hurt at the name princess. Wiping his smirk off completely, I said, "Are you an ass, princess?" copying his tone of voice.
His friends all laughed. "Nice one, Brooke," Derek called out. Mr. Sexy walked inside and began to make his way to my carpeted living room with his shoes still on. I grabbed the back of his jacket, stopping him. The carpets can't get dirty or I'll be in trouble.
That stupid, sexy smile came back as he turned around. "Did you want me to come closer?" he took a step towards me. He was less than a foot away.
I blushed and said, "Take your shoes off, ass." I may be a "goodie goodie" in front of teachers and adults, but when I'm not I have a hard time keeping my mouth shut.
"Okay, princess," he answered.
I felt the tears well in my eyes. Turning away, I slammed the door shut with all my might. BANG! "Do not call me that." I stayed turned away blinking back the tears.
