This chapter is dedicated to "Lani"
(Every time I dedicate a chapter, it will be from their point of view and their crush)
Chapter 5
Lani's POV
"Come on, guys! I need to find clothes, curl my hair, and do my make up," I rambled on. I'm freaking out because I only have an hour and a half until Wriely picks me up for our date
Our date!
I have dreamed of this day since I met him. "Calm your tits," Michelle said making Brooke laugh, and me scowl "We have an hour and a half. That's enough time."
We had slept over at Brooke's house last night. I smile just thinking about...
FLASHBACK
I watched as Brooke's arms wrapped around Ryder's waist as he drove down the driveway. "I hope she's okay," I whisper to Michelle. Ever since her dad died in the hospital, she's never gone in one. I know she's trying to hold up a strong front, but when Ryder finds out, he better not be a jerk about it or I'll beat his ass.
"I hope so too," Michelle whispered back.
"Are you okay, Derek?" I asked. I mean, Ryder just hit him!
"Yeah. I think I'm just going to walk home," Derek told me. Then he directed his words to the boys, "Just text me when you guys are heading to my house." Michelle and I gave him a hug goodbye.
Honestly, I wanna see you be brave! Sorry, I got sidetracked. Honestly, I don't like Ryder. I just- he's going to hurt Brooke. I just know it. And of he does, let me tell you, I will not be happy.
We walked into her living room. It's a little odd being here without anyone who actually lives here, but Michelle and I have been here enough that it doesn't make that big of a difference. I sat on the couch and Wriley sat next to me. Immediately, we started talking. "You know, Lani. I hope you don't think I'm a stalker, but Imayhavebeentryingtofindyouoneverysocialmediasite."
Why does he keep jumbling his words together? "You what?" I ask feeling bad that this is my second time misunderstanding him in one night.
"I may have tried to find you on every social media sight," Wriley blushed, looking down.
I giggled. "I may have done the same thing. Or at least tried to." I don't have any social media so I looked on all my friends social things.
"Oh, thank God. I felt like such a stalker," he laughed along with me.
"So did I! And Brooke and Michelle didn't help that cause. They called me a stalker all the time. Joking around, of course. And then Brooke with her big mouth went around telling everyone how much I like you."
Wriley beamed. It's weird how just a simple smile alone can make butterflies flutter in my tummy.
I glanced at the supermodels walked down the runway on TV. The model I'm the front- shorter, dirty blonde hair that's been curled, natural make-up look... She's stunning. "I know her!" I practically yelled at the TV. "I was in plays with her in middle school!"
Wriley wore an amused expression. "Who is she?"
"Rebecca. She's awesome. Love her to death." I crawled in front of the TV and watched in awe as Rebecca "strut her stuff" down the runway.
"She's pretty hot," Wriley said.
"What!?" I snapped my head towards Wriley. My cheeks turned red and I felt jealousy towards Rebecca.
