Song of Mischief

Chapter 3

  Many years later after Loki and Melody were done with what the Midgardians call college Loki knew that he had grown to care for Melody very deeply. He wanted to show her how he felt in some way. The only way he thought was enough was to demonstrate it. He would sing how he felt. He then went to his brother for advice. "Brother! Brother, where are you?" Loki asked. "Right here. What is the matter brother?"Thor worried. "I need to ask you something. If you were to sing to a young maiden, what would you sing?" he asked anxiously. "Is this about Melody?" Thor asked. "Yes it is, now will you help me?"Loki admitted. "Here is a song from Midgard that should work. Good luck brother." Thor said. "Thank you brother." Loki said. After many hours of practicing he was ready. You had become a warrior for Odin. How you may ask? Well you have the power to sing as a distraction or to make the enemy fall asleep. Loki went to your chambers. "Melody? Get dressed and meet me where I first heard you sing." he asked. A while later he saw the most beautiful sight he ever saw. Melody was wearing a red long sleeved dressed with gold jewelry all around her face. "What did you call me here for Loki?" The beautiful maiden asked. "I..I um would like to tell you something." he searched for words."Loki are you alright?"Melody asked worried. "Yes and I really need to tell you this. Ever since we met I have cared for you deeply and dare I even say it, I love you. I have loved you since I met you. I tried to find I way of telling you this but found none right. So I shall not tell you. I shall sing to you my affections for you." Loki said excitedly. 

  Loki sat Melody on the bench and started to sing."Wise men say, only fools rush in. But I can't help falling in love with you. Shall I stay, would it be a sin. That I can't help falling in love with you. As the river flows, softly to the sea. Darling so it goes, somethings are meant to be. Take my hand, take my whole life too, For I can't help falling in love with you. For I, no I can't help falling in love with you."  he finished strongly. Melody had tears in her eyes. "Melody I love you and I would like to spend eternity with you. So I ask of you for your hand in marriage." he got down on one knee holding a green and gold ring. "Yes of course I will marry you Loki!" she shouted with joy. Merely a few days later there was an attack on Asgard by the Frost Giants. Melody, Thor, and Loki were called into battle. During the fight Melody disappeared. After they had defeated all of them they searched for Melody. When they could not find her Thor assumed the worst while Loki still had hope. But after years of searching he lost that hope. That is what brought them there that day. "That is who Loki fell in love with." Thor had finished. "That is terrible." both the girls said. While Thor had been telling that tale of woe, Loki had heard the entire thing. He grew tired of the house and vanished. He then went to the streets to take his mind off of Melody. He then ran into a girl carrying many books. "I am so sorry." the maiden had said. "That is quite alright." Loki said. After gathering the maiden's books he looked up and saw a face that he thought he would never see again.
