Tears are streaming down my cheeks as I run off campus. My parents' apartment is a few blocks away and I need to get there. I don't want to talk with them, I just need to get to my old room. I feel like I need to be there, I don't know why. Mom and Shawn shouldn't even be home anyway.

I run up the steps until I get to the door. I pull out the spare key I have and dash inside, slamming the door behind me.

"Who's there?" Mom calls out.

"Oh, it's just me mom." I say between sniffles. I try to wipe my tears and look presentable.

"Oh honey what happened?" She asked.

"Nothing. Where's Shawn?" I ask.

"Oh he just left for a business trip." She responded.  "Aren't you supposed to be at school?" She started. "I'm just so proud of you. My perfect girl with the voice of an angel. Aren't you getting good grades too? It just feels like so long since I've seen your beautiful face.  And I bet you're---"

"Mom I'm pregnant!" I blurt out. I couldn't take hearing all those lies. Her lying to herself while her perfect angel is more like a devil. I regret saying that.

"You're... you're what?" She looked more mad than anything, which was hard to understand.

"You heard me."

She was real quiet for about 2 minutes. Until she said this, "How can you do that? You have the start of a music career going for you!" She yells.

"Is that what's important to you right now?" I snap back.

"You can't be serious! You were gonna be famous, be rich!"

"So what? What does being rich have to do with it?" I question.

"My little girl...pregnant." She slowed down.

"Well yeah didn't you hear me? That's what I said! Aren't you going to say something nice? Like 'Oh Maya! A grandchild for me! You'll be a great mom!' Because that'd be nice." I say.

"Who's the father?" She asks, ignoring what I just said.

"Oh sure down listen to what I just said. Fine, Lucas is the dad but...but... it doesn't matter. You down care!" I yell.

"You're right. I don't care for teen mom's who wouldn't be good parents at all. My once precious girl throws away all her life to get knocked up!" She screams.

"Do you even understand what you just said, to your own daughter!? You listen to me! I'm having a baby and you better be---" I get cut off.

"GET OUT!" She exclaims.

"What?" I ask in total shock.

"Get your stuff from your room and get out! Did I make myself clear" She doesn't wait for an answer and leaves.

I'm being kicked out of my house. Well it doesn't matter, I live in a dorm. So I put the few things left in my room in my backpack. I storm back to campus and go to my new room.

I should be crying. But I'm more angry than anything.
