Rain Falls.
Rain falls like tears
Tears from broken angels
Perfect tears
Perfect as the eyes
From where they came
Perfect as the sorrow
That they felt
Shatters on the pavement
Like a perfect, broken thought

The Forest.
You are floating above the forest
Tiny particles hang, suspended
Illuminated by a hidden sun
An unseen movement
Sways the forest
Back and forth
And you with it
Each silken movement
Reveals glimpses
Of the purple rocks beneath
You blink, and when your eyes open
For a moment you think
The rocks are swaying
But it's only the forest
You are calm
Mind empty
Thoughts floating around you
Swaying with you
Completely at the mercy
Of your dream-like surroundings
You breathe deeply, in, out
And with a final inhalation,
You push yourself down
Kicking your legs wildly
Moving vertically
Pushing hard away from the light
Pressure builds in your ears
Like hands squeezing your head
Down, down you strive
And suddenly, with a burst
Of pain
You are in the forest
You are the forest
You dive between the kelp
It drags at you
With ragged fingers
But you're not afraid
You breathe no breath
You feel only the pain in your ears
The cold in your hands
Your wetsuit, tight around your neck
