My body arose with a shock, mind in a mess and thoughts jumbled. I looked around seeing a crowd of around 30 or so other teenagers around me. Some were asleep, others, were behaving in a frantic manor. We, the teens around me, appeared to be on the third floor. It was the highest level judging by the fact that there was not hatch to to connect to a potential, forth level. I could feel movement from below but my body lacked the energy to stand up and discover the noise makers

Unaware of my whereabouts, I looked around as my eyes spotted a large number '3' on a large pillar. I wasn't close to my home in Walden, the air seemed thinner, not contaminated with a metallic taste. Was I in Phoenix? Is this how the rich feel? Or do only the few lucky members of the council and their families in Arcadia receive the privilege of more enjoyable oxygen.
i rested my head against the uneven wall, fumbling with my wristband.

"How did you sleep through that," a person whispered to me, i lifted my head in confusion. Sleep through what "are they-- dead?" he looked at the passed out people, pinching his nose to brace himself for an uneasy smell, probably feeling slightly grossed out.

"I doubt it," I let out an airy, yet nervous, laugh, "judging by their chest movement, most should be waking up soon," I reassured the stranger in a hushed tone, my body inched closer to his. He gave me a nod before looking away, forgetting my presence.

"hey do you know what's happening? Where we are?" i asked the unidentified boy, not remember anything beyond returning to my cell in the sky box after first meal. I could still taste the bitterness of the stain bread that accompanied a flavourless clump of mush, of which the real contents remains unknown.

"you don't know?" he spoke up, the man's voice had adjusted to a worrisome tone. All I could see was his eyes reflecting from the vague green light, that shone from the ceiling.
"Well," he continued before shifting under the strap that was acting as a harness, which, unlike most, he was not gifted with, keeping his body down, "the Arc sent one hundred criminals down to earth, I don't really know or care why. 'Ought ta have something to do with the living conditions up in that hell hole. Your crime must have been more recent." Earth. i'm never seeing joey again. i sighed, dropping my head. "They drugged some, who weren't cooperating," I purses my lips and nodded, burying my thoughts in many questions.

"wait," i said, "so we're in space?" the guy shook his head, before a couple of groans came from around us. I guess those who were drugged must be regaining consciousness around now.
"How didn't you feel that landing?" he shook his head in disbelief, answering my question with his own rhetorical one. For a while we just sat in silence.
"My body wasn't in function, I guess." I shrugged.

"i never got your name," he trailed off awaiting an answer.
"Bailey," i confirmed, pressing my mouth into a thin line, but he wasn't satisfied. he motioned for me to keep going,
"oh, uh Enford- Bailey Enford," i then tapped my fingered on the metal floor, i was sitting on, to a random tune,
"and you are?" i asked after realising i hadn't identified the unfamiliar boy yet,

"Murphy," he gritted through his teeth, I rose a questioning eyebrow, "I go by my last name, why tell you my first one?" he asked rhetorically, answering my thoughts, firmly before looking away at the people who had awoken. Geez, someone has trust issues. I looked around yet and no one was panicking yet, like i am on the inside. everyone must know what's happening. Why wasn't I informed?

Someone yelled something about it being safe for them to get up, and Murphy didn't hesitate to undo his strap and walk off. Okay then, fine.
