I laughed while Bellamy and this mystery girl continue to look at the blonde girl clueless. The dark haired girl then spoke up,
"Uh, do you mind?" she sassed, "I haven't seen my brother in a year," then it clicked,
Oh they're not- like together, together? i awkwardly thought, my hands covered my cheeks in attempt to hide the flushed look my face now fulfilled. Most people, me not included, expressed their opinions in exaggerated gasps and whispers.
"The Blake kids?"
"Ugh that girl is probably covered in dust from hiding under the floor,"
"That's Octavia Blake!"
As everyone, unknowingly, insulted the pair, mostly the girl Octavia. As anger boiled inside of her, she lashed out at the surrounding delinquents. I hung off the ladder that I was attached to with one hand grasped on a higher rung the other resting freely on my side. My short height wouldn't have allowed me to see without the advantage point I was at. Bellamy held his sister back, a savage-like look plastered on her face.
"O stop it," he warned, sternly.
"I will not be remembered as the girl under the floor."
"Then why not be remembered as the first girl on the ground in 100 years?" The evidently older sibling suggested to Octavia.
"97, 97 fucking years get it right," i mumbled harshly, a few looked up at me but I ignored their judgemental stares.
The girls smile confirmed she would oblige to the idea and the two moved to the lever which controlled the drop ship doors movement. Up and down.
The blonde girl, who had been shoved to the back of the crowd, pushed her way back to the front before any lever could be pulled.
"Stop! The air could be toxic!"Bellamy looked at his sister and the rest of the idiots murmured in panic. I rolled my eyes.
"We weren't sent down here to live within these drop ship walls." I yelled over the stress. The room grew quiet. I jumped down from my ladder position, a path had no cleared allowing me to walk to the front. I began to talk again, walking this time.
"I also know that if the air was toxic, we would have been dead already. Oxygen on air is as thin as anything, our lungs crave it and fight for the gas hard. Even through the sealed drop ship walls, the oxygen would reach us. We would be dead already if the radiation had affected the air." I announced, now having reached the front of the drop ship. The blonde girl stood in disbelief. We held a stare before I looked to Bellamy, on my left and nodded."Pull the lever," Without hesitation, the handle was brought down and the drop ship door began to open.
Octavia stood in front once it was fulling opened. She walked forwards and took in a breath of fresh air. She exhaled before jumping down.
I could sense the girl was preparing some quote to say. Don't say something stupid. Don't say something cringe.
"Were back, bitches!" Ugh too late. The dark haired girl, now an evident brown colour, hugged her brother before taking off with the rest of the crowed who didn't wait any longer to stay packed in tight in the drop ship. I walked out last, smiling at the happiness in front of me. Wow, what an amazing sight.
. . .
Someone stepped next to me wrapping their arm around my shoulder,
"W'Sup," he nodded, "I'm Fi-"
"Spacewalker, i don't care," purses my lips nodding,
"Your funny," he laughed as he cornered me and i gulped. he put his hands beside my head and leaned in smirking.
"What the fuck? Stop," i tried to say, of course he didn't.
i was looking at Bellamy who was talking to a blonde girl. As if on cue he snapped his head towards me. i could feel Finns breath on my neck. i looked away, hoping he wouldn't notice my discomfort."Oi, Finn! If she said stop, stop." He argued. Great.
I glared at Finn, his face growing soft realising I didn't want any of it. The long haired dickhead's hands rose in surrender and my body released. I walked away ashamed yet lucky that no one except Octavia and the blonde girl saw, everyone else was too excited and running around the forest we had now inhabited. I waltzed back to the drop ship and crawled to the corner and ran a hand through my hair sighing quietly. Murphy entered and sat next me, eyes soft.
"It's okay, you know." he tried to comfort, his arm reached for mine slowly.
"I'm fine," I snapped pushing his hand away, vigorously.
Murphy was tacked aback.
"I don't know how I appear to you, but I'm not soft. I've had an unfair life and I'm not gonna take any bullshit." I swore too Murphy.
"Me being tiny doesn't justify my soul. I am strong and I don't cry or whine. So I deal with irritation and go about my day." I told him as I left the spot that I wanted to be alone in and walked back outside.I took in a breath, finding a tree and sat down, minding any mud. I smiled at my life. Earth. Everything I've ever wanted just without the one person I wish I could experience it with.
i'm just realising, after editing it, it's still really shit. and cringe worthy. So I changed it. It was fuck'd i tell you
