Pop Culture Analysis of Sega's "Beyond Oasis"

Who I Wouldn't Recommend This Game To

As much as I love Beyond Oasis I'm intelligent enough to know that there are going to be people who won't have the same take as me. Allow me to list off who I wouldn't recommend the game to:

- If you're the kind of person who loves Zelda titles like Skyward Sword and Majora's Mask because the games constantly feed you moral support, then Beyond Oasis may not be for you. Beyond Oasis is not the kind of game where a cute character walks up to you and tells you why you should care about saving the kingdom or defeating evil: Beyond Oasis doesn't ask for your investment, it earns it.

- If you want to play a straight up Zelda CLONE, do not play Beyond Oasis. Beyond Oasis isn't your daddy's Zelda. If you want to play a game expecting everything to feel exactly like A Link To The Past, play A Link Between Worlds, don't play Beyond Oasis.

- If you've already seen a full playthrough of the game on YouTube, and feel like you won't get anything out of playing it yourself. This happens very often with games. If a game doesn't look like it would interest you, then you probably shouldn't play it.

- If you're playing the game specifically to write an argument comparing it to the Zelda franchise. Too many Zelda fans play Zelda games just for the sake of saying "Yeah, I played that, it wasn't as good as the Zelda game I like. Mehhhh." Heck, I'll admit, even I've done that because of peer pressure, it's very silly and it's a waste of money.

- I wouldn't recommend Beyond Oasis to gamers who play video games because they wanna hear music they can jam to. This isn't for your average Mega Man fan.

- I wouldn't recommend Beyond Oasis to gamers who are anti-Sega, and hate everything that Sega makes regardless of it's quality.

- I do not recommend Beyond Oasis to hardcore Nintendo fans blinded by brand loyalty.
