6 months later

(sitting in your office)

Wendy: Roc Royaaaal..

You: (pause the video and look at the tv)

Roc: (walks out smiling)

Wendy: ohh baby that smile...

Roc: (laughs)

Wendy: I guess the big D is over.

Roc: I got plenty of things to smile about.

Wendy: so you're not happy to finally have your name back to yourself.

Roc: (laughs) I don't...but nah all seriousness, divorce isn't ever happy.

Wedny: this is what? The thir..

Roc: second

Wendy: wow second time. What made y'all think it would work out.

Roc: (laughs) Wendy I didn't come here to talk about the past..

Wendy: okay okay..Lets talk about the present she is the mother of your kids...you still see her right..

Roc: Honestly,l've only seen her about 3 times since the divorce.

Wendy:  so you've only seen your kids 3 times in 6 months.

Roc: Nooo. We both have people who assists in getting the kids back and forth.

Wendy: oh okay get that straight. But you have seen y/n 3 times only.

Roc: correct.

Wendy: woow? was it that bad.

Roc: I mean not only is it the fact that we aren't really over it yet and aren't ready to face each other..but we do have different schedules that get in the way.

Wendy: do you see you two getting back together?

Roc: No.

Wendy: dang. I hear that. No 3rd time for Roc..(looks at her note cards) but..I heard that you both are dating now...not each other but other people.

Roc: really?

Wendy: is it true?

Roc: I don't know about her...but yeah..

Wendy: yeah?

Roc: yeah, I'm dating someone.

Wendy: Is it Taylor?

Roc: (laughs) no.

Wendy: You're not going to tell us?

Roc: no.

Wendy: you tell me I'll tell you who everyone says y/n is dating an you'd be surprise..

Roc: (laughs) Wendy no.

Wendy: well I'll tell you anyway..everyone says y/n is now messing around with her bodyguard.

Roc: really? (rubbing his chin) KB?

Wendy: yeah..You think so?

A picture of KB whispering  in your ear comes on the screen and another one of KB and Zoey walking and talking.

Roc: I mean, I've heard that too but I don't know if it's true.

Wendy: would you approve of it?

Roc: look That's not my business..

Wendy: this boy won't throw any shade...well how about this

Wendy: they look like a happy family don't you think? It can be possible...They both seem to be focused on Baby Devon but that could be a distraction, Chloe's kinda eyeing Ray in the background and Zoey doesn't look like this is the first time seeing mommy and Ray that close.

Roc: (looks at the picture and laugh) Can we talk about my new music

Wendy: .Yeah. But first we got to take a break. when we get back we will talk about Roc and his upcoming solo album...stay tuned.

You: (turn the tv off and shake your head)

there's a knock on your door.

You: it's open..

???: (opens the door)ready to go?

You: I told you I would call after my mom picked the kids up.

???: (walks in and shut the door) I know. I just couldn't wait.I'm all packed..You know how long I've been waiting to vacation with you.

You: (giggle) we're only going off the coast of Miami for 3 days.

???: 3 days with no kids..(walks over and kiss you)

You: (smiling)

Chloe: (walks in) Mom..(looks at yall)

You: (break the kiss and look at the door)

Chloe: grandma is here.

Y/m: (waves)

You: hey ma..(stand up and walk out the office)

Y/m: vacation with the team huh? I saw the pictures I thought nahhh.

You: everyone is going to have a date so I asked him to come along

Y/m: That looked like a we've been dating a  couple of months kiss.

You: (look down smiling)

Y/m: but that's non of my business..So..have fun with him. But don't move too fast. You don't NEED a  man in your life.

You: thanks mom...but I know what I'm doing. The girls respect him..

Chloe: (hugs you  rolling her eyes)

Y/m: (laughs a little)

You: (look down at her) Devon is crazy about this man...and I love him. It's going to work out.

Y/m: (looking at you) okay...where are their bags

Chloe: (still hugging you) I'm going to miss you.

You: (laugh) Yeah right.

Zoey: (walks down the hall with Devon chasing her) Bye mom. (hugs you)

You: (pick up Devon and kiss his cheek) I'll see you guys in 4 days. Listen to grandma. (looks at Chloe)

Chloe: I dooo.

You: (open the door) babe Come say goodbye.

???: (gets Devon from you) Bye lil man.

Devon: (laughs)

???:  (looks at Chloe and Zoey)  have fun ladies. 

Chloe: you two are having the fun. we still have school.

Y/m: (laughs)  okay we better get going

they leave.

???: (turns to you) So everyone is meeting up here?

You: yepp. 

???: what time? (puts his hands on your waste) 

You: (look at your watch) 15. (look back at him smiling)

???: (picks you up and hurry back into your office)

You: (laughing) Joy is still at the front desk.

???: (laughing) so? (kisses you)

You: (smile and wrap your arms around his neck)

Your POV: I am giving myself one last chance...God please tell me I am not making a mistake...
