Pete pulled the same over-dramatic expression as he had when Patrick had pulled him under earlier. Well, it wasn't exactly the same, there was some sort of a smirk on his face that wasn't there before. He realized that Pete was looking under his shirt. Patrick freaked out and instantly got off his and swam to the other end of the pool. He knew that he should be happy that Pete was looking at him in that way, but he was too self-conscious.

Idiot, Patrick mentally scolded himself, Now you'll make him think that you're not interested in him that way.

Pete re-emerged and swam up to Patrick with an embarrassed look on his face.

"I'm really sorry about tha-" Pete began awkwardly.

"It's okay," Patrick quickly cut him off, "I'm just not very happy with my body." He smiled shyly at Pete.

"From what I did see, it's perfect," Pete said with what appeared to be a purr in his voice. Even after the long months of stalking Pete, Patrick had never heard that tone of voice. To say that his cheeks had turned red would be an understatement. No amount of training in hiding emotions could have blocked what he was feeling (and showing) at that particular moment.

"Earth to Patrick?" Pete asked with concern in his voice. This was when Patrick realized that he had zoned out while looking into Pete's eyes. The shade of brown they were appeared to be almost natural but also unnatural at the same time. Patrick felt that he could stare into them for hours. They were just so mesmerizing, so beautiful. It was almost impossible to put into words, but if it had to be, Patrick would describe it as one of those vampire stories where staring into a vampire's eyes would put you under their control. Except in this case, Patrick would willingly put himself under Pete's control.

Calm yourself Stump, too kinky, Patrick scolded himself once again. This was when Patrick realized that he zoned out again. Pete looked genuinely concerned at this point.

"HOLY SMOKES, I'M SO SORRY!" Patrick shouted. The level of volume made Pete jump back a bit, considering they were at such a close proximity. Patrick looked down at his feet under the water, very embarrassed at his accidental outburst.

"What are you sorry for?" Pete asked with laughter present in his voice. Patrick blushed once again. At this point, if you weren't aware of his current situation, you would have this was just a boy who had spent to much time in the sun.

"Well, for one, I'm sorry for screaming in your face," he said, starting to laugh as well, "And I'm sorry for staring."

"Well, I was the one staring where I shouldn't have been," Pete said, now blushing as well.

"No, I mean it, it's okay."

"Are you sure?"

"Of course I'm sure," Patrick sighed.

"Why are you so sure about that?" Pete asked with a puzzled sound in his voice, "I mean, you're a wearing a T-Shirt in the pool."

Patrick was startled by the direct question. "I um-"

"You think things are moving to fast?" Pete asked with a smirk on his face. Patrick cursed himself for getting set up so easily.

"Well um-" Patrick began, not knowing how to get out of the one situation he hadn't prepared for. He always expected to be the one holding the side of the conversation that Pete currently held.

"Um what?" Pete pushed on. "I think it's a fairly simple yes or no question."

Patrick stared at Pete, the beauty that he had seen in his eye earlier was gone. Now he saw anything but beauty, but it wasn't bad either. Patrick could appreciate a two-sided person like no one else could, and he hoped Pete would be able too as well.

"Yes."

AN:
A month without updating she comes back with a chapter that progressed a lot more quickly than anyone (including the lazy ass author) expected. Really sorry about not updating this, my mind has been on really anything but writing. I've been reading a lot more lately. I suddenly felt inspired to update this so here it is. One of the reasons that I haven't updated this is because I'm really self-conscious about my writing, but then I realized that how much I've flaunted The Cookie Fic around so I figured I might as well do the same to the story I actually put effort into and not some shitty one-shot that I made purely for the effort of being bored. I hope you enjoyed (even though you probably didn't) and hope to not expect the next update to be next month. Maybe in a week or something.
Bye <3
