Chapter 16 : Clown Fever

My feet feel gigantic in these ridiculous shoes. I can barely get to my destination in the first place. I try to get up the few steps on to the porch to this big mansion I arrived at , such a nice mansion for a creepy area...I wonder why this is the only one here.

I knock on the door and ring the door bell patiently. I start to hear rattling of the door opening. A boy stands there....a boy I knew.....I say "it's you, I can't even look at you right now" Shawn pulls my hand and puts a finger over my mouth "shhh" he says , I ask "why is it so dark in here?" The lights turn on and out of nowhere all types of clowns pop out from every area of the mansion and scream "SURPRISE!!!!" THIS IS THE BIG DAY FOR YOU!!!! Says almost every clown all at once. I almost become unconscious and not sure what they mean.

Both my parents step up to me...my mom and dad both hug me and whisper in my ear "you have to go along with it , you can't be freaked out" I shake my head and pull away . Every clown asks me if I would like some cake, but the most important clown Shawn has already brought me some. Shawn grabs my hand and drags me to a corner...."Look Alice, I never wanted to hurt you or become someone like me, but I had to, just like the way your parents said, plus they made me, I truly like you as the girl you are now too, let me make it up to you baby" he said. I give him his chance to speak and glance at him "okay, sure Shawn, you better prove how this will change us in a good way or I am out of here". He plays with my hair and tucks it behind my ear and then holds onto my waist. "Alice I know we have a future together , it is for the best, we can protect each other..." I look down and rock back and forth with him as I look back up at him in the eyes and smile...."give me a kiss" Shawn says. I give him a little kiss on his cheek and look away. "A real kiss Alice" I smirk and press my lips hard against his for a whole minute and start blushing then pull away. Shawn says "oh my Alice, I didn't know you had it in you to kiss like that baby!"
