I entered the Bee and Barb and asked Keerava which room Brynjolf was in.

"Same room as last night." She said as she wiped a tankard clean. I rushed up the steps and burst into the room, only to have my heart broken a second time.

"Bryn..." I whimpered, my lip quivering. He was on his back with gods damn Haelga on him, sucking and kissing his neck and face. He looked over at me and pushed her off of him.

"Ruoma!" He fretted. "I-It's not what you think, it's really not!" I crumbled up the note and threw it in his face. I spit at Haelga the Unclean, my newest nickname for the slag, and ran out in tears.

Brynjolf's POV

"Hey, Bryn." Haelga said as she sat across from me.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"I'm glad you asked." She smiled sweetly, I guess you could call it that. "Because I'm looking at it." I chuckled.

"Sorry, but I'm not interested." I said, trying to ignore her. She sighed, annoyed.

"Come on, let's rent a room." She begged.

"No." I said louder. "I'm going to rent my own room, and you need to go back to your filthy bunkhouse." She grunted and left. Finally. I walked up to Keerava and rented my room. I entered and waiting for Ruoma, if she was even coming. I heard a knock at the door and I opened it in a second, hoping to was my lass but it was Haelga. She kissed me and shut the door, pushing me onto the bed. That was when the worst possible thing happened; Ruoma walked in on us. I noticed her and pushed Haelga off of me, running to her. My heart broke in tint pieces as I saw the amount of hurt on her face. She threw my note in my face and spat at Haelga, then she ran out. I ran after her, begging and praying to the gods for her to stop and listen to me. I followed her into the Flagon, where she finally stopped and punched me in the mouth.

"How could you do that to me?" She screamed. "Pour your heart out to me, just to make me witness you with that... That bitch?" Tears threatened to spill from my eyes.

"Ruoma-"

"Go away." She snapped.

"No." I snapped right back. "I'm going to stay here, and you're going to listen to me!" She shrunk as I yelled, and her eyes were threatened by tears as well.

"And here you go again." She spoke quietly and sadly. "Yelling at me for nothing. You gonna slap me this time? Punch me? Oh, why don't you just stab me this time, because you pretty much already did!" By now, she was sobbing into her hands. I grabbed her wrists.

"Ruoma, please." I said, my voice cracking as tears finally spilled. "I love you, so much." She ripped her wrists from my grip. I held her face in my hands gently.

"Why the fuck should I believe that?" She hissed.

"Because it's true." I sighed. "You know exactly how Haelga is. I didn't want her in my room. I didn't want to be kissing her. I wanted you. I want you." Her face fell as tears poured out of her eyes. I took my hands down and sighed.

"Do you mean it?" She asked quietly. "You're not just trying to charm me?" I smiled softly as I kissed her forehead.

"I mean every word, lass." I whispered in her ear. "Unless the charm is working, in that case, I'm charming you with truth." She giggled softly and hugged my torso tightly.

"I love you too, Bryn." She mumbled into my chest. I kissed the top of her head and hugged her as close as possible to my chest.
