Chapter 16

There was a knock at the door and I ran to open it.

"Hey beautiful. Ready to go?"

Jc said.

"Absolutely!"

We walked to the car and he opened the door for me. God why was he so sweet?

We drove for about 45 minutes until we reached this cliff over looking the ocean.

"During the mating season, blue whales mate here. It's actually about time for them to have their babies." He said looking out over the water.

"This place is beautiful." I said smiling at him.

"I found it on a run. Why I was way up here I have no clue. No one really comes here though." He said. "Come on. Let's go."

He lead me down a path into the forest. There were little twinkly lights that lined the path. We made it to a clearing where there was a white blanket covered in roses and a picnic basket in the middle. The clearing had lights everywhere.

"This is like a dream." I said open mouthed.

"A dream date for my dream girl." Jc said smiling. "But wait. Before we eat I want to ask you something."

I looked up into his eyes. There was a sparkle there that I never noticed.

"Okay." I said

"Macie, you are the sweetest person I've ever met. You make me the happiest person alive. You aren't just another girl. You're the girl. I really do have strong feelings for you. How could I not? You're beautiful, smart, talented, and funny. You aren't afraid to be yourself and you laugh at your own clumsiness and mistakes. What I'm trying to get at is.. will you do me the honor... in being my girlfriend?"

I felt tears develop in my eyes.

"Yes."
