I've won the lottery!
Okay, so the prize wasn't money.
But it was something better,
Going beyond material.
It was the day I stole the air back
From my anxiety, my lungs donating the oxygen to a genuine laugh.
And smiled a smile more real than I thought was possible.
The day I could pick up the former pieces of myself without being cut.
I'm passing the prize onto you-
You are strong enough to do the same,
Strong enough to bring yourself together despite the odds, and to end the internal conflict that's been
Keeping you up all night.
Drink some water. Get some sleep.
Take your meds. You are worth it.
You can win.Author's Note: Embrace not only the things that make you happy, but the things that keep the sad away.
Stay safe.
