Ryan's pov
I waited in my room, impatient to meet this girl Ronnie has found. He had been texting me about her last night, and said that she was unbelievably gorgeous, but warned me she wasn't exactly stable, and told me about her self harming in the bus's bathroom.
I wasn't sure what to think, but it couldn't be to bad. Just then I heard a knock on my door. I get up and let Ronnie in, he's holding to hand of a girl with sapphire hair, in long column like curls, and eyes so green they should belong to a cat. She's tiny, almost to thin, and her eyes look haunted. I shut the door, and appraise them both, Ronnie looks nervous around her, and she just seems shell shocked. She's wearing Ronnie's sweats and hoodie, and it's kind of cute, but there's just something off about her. She wasn't here, in the room, she was in her head.
Ronnie guided her to the couch in front of my bed, as soon as she sat, she huddled into the corner, bringing her knees up to her chest. I walk over slowly, and kneel in front of her. I hold out my hand, "Hey there gorgeous, I'm Ryan," I wait, as she sizes up my hand, but gingerly she reaches out her own, and shakes mine. "Kitty," she states her name, and just like her touch, it's just a whisper. "Ronnie, can we talk for a sec?" I ask, standing. Looking at Kitty, he nods hesitantly.
Once we're outside my room, Ronnie asks me, "What do you think?" With a heavy sigh I answer, "She's a ghost, man. She's inside her head, not in the real world, an it seems like the only things left in he head are fear, pain, and memories."
"I know..." Ronnie looks
scared, and that's not something I'm used to. We stand for a moment longer, and then enter the room again. Ronnie and I both look straight to Kitty. She's stretched over the couch, one hand draped over her stomach, the other hanging off the side, and her legs crossed. "That's so cute!" I say. "Her face is peaceful," Ronnie says, sounding happy. He looks at her, head cocked to the side, a small smile on his face.
Ronnie stays for a little while, and Ron visits briefly, to talk about the next venue. We have two off days before the next show, and one for traveling, Ronnie wants the bus for the two free days, so he can keep Kitty away from the rest of the guys all gathering at once. "I'm not sure how well she'll be able to deal with lots of people, and I want a chance to get to know her better," he says.
All of a sudden we here a small moan, and like a flash Ronnie is at the couch, hand on Kitty's forehead. I see Ron stare, and then he walks over to. "She ok?" He asks. "Yeah I think so, she's probably just sore, or dreaming. I'm going to take her back to the bus," with that Ronnie gently lifted her off of the couch, I got the door for him, and watched him go.
