Dumb Question [Kenshiro x Inmate!Reader]

"Hey doggy, how's your asking wander out?" You asked as soon as you notice main guard of building walking past your cell.

"What's that question, inmate (I/N)?! B-besides I told you to not call me like that." Kenshiro red like tomato turned to you.

"Ah, nothing just curious. " You chuckled and leaned on the wall. "Besides I can't stop calling you like that, because you act just like dog. And that's cute."

"Excuse me!"

"She can't appreciate precious gift like you. It'd be the best if you move on from her."

"And what do you have in saying all of this?"

"None of your business." You showed him tounge.

"Then I'm going. I already spent here long time." He nodded and headed to wherever he was going to

You rolled your eyes and walked away from door. That guy was hopeless.

Why?

1. Everyone here already knows that he has crush on warden

2. He never accept fact, she has someone else on mind

3. Kenshiro can't notice that there's other person having feeling for him

Unlucky or lucky, it's you. Can't help it. Too manly, too adorable.
Though these two things shouldn't be together.. well, just as guard and inmate.

In few days it's gonna be your fifth year. Also it's gonna be date of your release..

Though you have no plans of leaving this place.

~~Time skip ~(=w=~)~~

"Hey!" You smiled at Kenshiro passing your cell next day. "Can I ask you something?"

"I hope it's not that dumb question about asking out..." He took sip of coffee

"No. I was wondering, if I could become guard here after I get released. Can I?" As you finished the words he spillt out his coffee.

"Why would you do that?!" You slightly shrunk. It sounded like he was angry at you for this idea.

"...I just thought that.. nevermind.." You looked down and swept part of your hair behind your ear. "I'm sorry for asking... Have a nice day.."

Kenshiro's eyes softened when you turned. He mumbled under his nose "have a nice day too" and went to the Musashi's cell.

"Wow, you fucked up." were the first words that greeted supervisor.

"Good morning to you too, Musashi. But what are you talking?"

"I think everyone in this building could hear you."

"And? What about that"

"She always tries to get your attention when you walk here." Musashi frowned. "No one bother talking to you earlier besides her, saying that you should get over warden. And girl's secretly trying to tell you message between lines."

"What message? There's nothing in this"

"That she likes you." Musashi sighed and leaned on wall. "I wonder how dumb you need to be to not notice. I bet every inmate and guard that heard your talk with her already understand what she's trying to do. Besides what she was asking you about or what did she do?"

Though he kept asking Kenshiro stood there, trying to process everything. Last thing that is expected that inmate 'confess' her love to superior, though he thought she was just mocking him with all of that. And that was act of affection?!

"Excuse me" With these words he was already out from this cell and heading towards yours. How blind he had to be?

You sit curled up in corner of your cell playing blankly with your hair. What gave you idea to ask that? Why did you expected it to went better?

Your thinking was cut by sound of opening doors. You looked up to see Kenshiro staring at you, which you answered to with lowering your head.

"I'm sorry for asking..."

"Well, if you want to be guard you'd had to finish proper school, so... It'd be heavy, especially since you have crime in your papers, so it'd be better if you didn't do that."

You looked up and slightly smiled

"I understand. Thank you.."

"Though, I guess we could meet sometimes on some tea or coffee..." He looked away slightly embarassed.

"Really?!" You jumped up with huge smile.

"Yes, sure."
