I was startled by the alarm next to my ear and I notice that I was soaking in sweat. Nightmares usually come by when I have an exhausting night. Making me more tired in the morning.

I step into the shower and have a cold bath. I change to my usual outfits and step outside, skipping my breakfast. I stop by the coffee shop since there was still a half hour until classes start. The warm feeling of the hot beverage soothes my skin and it feels great. I walk into a curve and enter the school halls. I enter Literature and still the same seat was vacant. I notice Liam's absence so I ask his friend where he was.

"He went to a party last night and got a hangover." The ginger answers me.

"Oh. That doesn't sound nice."

"Yeah. His head is pounding and he said he's gonna sleep throughout the day."

"Alright. I'll check on him later. thank you. You're so nice." Why the fuck did I just say that?

He gives me an obnoxious smile and I look back at the professor.

"How is everyone enjoying the book so far?" He asks the whole class.

Shit. I forgot about the book.

"Great." One student says.

"You should all be halfway in the book since we're really behind schedule."

"Where is Mr. Liam Kutcher?" He acknowledges his absence.

"He's not well today." Asha answers.

"Thank you, Ms. Asha Belle."

"Yeah."

"So, back to the book. I will be getting the highlights."

"In the dawn of man's history, there was a man named Dor. He had a brother, Nim. He also has his best friend, Alli. As the three of them grew, they gravitated their fates. Nim had broad-shoulders. Alli became more beautiful. And Dor became a measurer of things. Then, Dor and Alli married and had children. Nim became a powerful king. He was wealthy and had many slaves. Then, Dor visited his brother by order. He spoke about his works. But they had a small argument and Nim kicked Dor out of the city."

"So Alli and Dor moved out along with their family. They decided to move in the high plains. They had visitors. An elderly couple was approaching. Alli offered them some goods. The old woman laid her hands on Alli's face. Days after, Alli grew more and more unwell as each day passes. The.." He suddenly stops.

"Professor, It's time for our next class." A student adds.

"Okay. I will continue tomorrow. But before you go, I will be giving you homework. It will be entitled 'Time'.

We use so many phrases with it, pass time. Waste time. Lose time. there are as many expressions with "time" as there are minutes in a day.

So the question is, Would you stop time, reverse time, or fast forward in time?"

"That will be all today. Class dismissed."

I don't mind about homework right now because it wont be hard doing it later. I walk to Mathematics and settle down. Our teacher always looks so tired and exhausted, despite her eye bags and her puffy hair. She turns to face us and starts to speak.

"Today we will have an exercise on word problems." She starts to write on the board.

I never really was good at maths.

As she finishes writing I read the problem,

'A total of 50 juniors and seniors were given a math test. The 35 juniors attained an average score of 80 while the 15 seniors attained an average of 70. What was the average score?'
