Why?

Why are we scared to speak up?

Why does the happiest kids grow up to be the saddest people?

Why do people think they have to pretend to 'fit in'?

Why does everyone lie?

Why do we cry ourselves to sleep?

Why doesn't anyone notice?

Why doesn't anyone care?

Why does people see but never do anything to make a change?

Why?? Well because in this generation everyone likes to say things like "dare to be different, be who you are, or its 2017 no one will judge you!" But really they mean "if you're different you're weird, actually be like us we're better, or its 2017 EVERYONE will judge you!".

Its pretty sick how this generation has twisted everything up. I mean isn't America the 'Home of the Free' and don't we have rights to be us? I dont remember when someone made a new amendment saying we have to be like our peers. Do you?

So why can't we just speak up?

Why can't happy kids grow up to be happy people?

Why do we have to pretend? Or even fit in??

Why can't we be truthful??

Why can't we finally fall asleep with dry eyes?

Why don't we notice?

Why don't we care?

Why not make that change?

Why? Because the world says its wrong?

Well sweetheart, don't listen to them. We aren't monkeys so why are we stuck playing monkey see monkey do??
