You can't even see me.
I can always imagine.
What are you, a stalker?

The results weren't as bad as I had expected. In fact, I was quite satisfied with them. From the midterm exams to the finals, I had jumped from 103rd into the forties range. Delighted that the tutoring sessions were making a positive impact on my studies, my parents agreed upon the decision to continue them. Although, I completely resented the idea -- I wasn't going to bow down at his feet -- a little part of me was relieved. Probably relieved that I can still see Akashi, or relieved that I can still be with him. I despised that little thought.
We were going to go on summer break in a few more days, but I'll still be tutored for second term.
The raven-haired boy stood outside my door yet again. "Reo-senpai," I said. "... Is Akashi with his father again?"
"It seems so. I saw Sei-chan receive a phone call," Reo answered, stepping inside. "I'm going to be stepping in for him again."
"Pun intended?"
Reo laughed, "No."
"Alright, come on up."
I led Reo upstairs to my room again and shut the door behind us. "Why do you always shut the door?" Reo asked. "No one else is in the house."
"It feels more natural with the door closed."
"Ah, I get it. A young lady needs her privacy."
"You could phrase is like that."
I sat down on the chair in front of the desk and Reo occupied the other. Opening the japanese workbook, I looked over at Reo, who was glancing over his own notebook. "Why does Akashi keep getting called in by his father?" I asked suddenly.
"I don't know, and even if I did I'm mot sure I would be able to tell you," Reo looked up. "Anyway, we shouldn't dwell on this any longer. Let's get started."
"Oh," I started, "yes."
The rest of the tutoring session went as smoothly as any other would've been with Akashi present. Though, I still wondered what Akashi was being called in for. This was the second time already, but since he was supposed to be the heir to a well known and successful business, it was to be expected.
A thought hit me near the end of the session. I peeked over at Reo and scolded myself for even letting that come to mind. It was better to just focus on the matter at hand. When time was finally up, Reo stood up and closed his books. Standing up along with him, I showed him back to the front door.
I don't know what came over me after that, but impulsively, my arm sprung out and I grabbed ahold of his arm. He turned to look at me, surprised. "Yes, [Last Name]-chan?" he asked.
"Um..." I stuttered. There was no turning back now. "Can you stay for a while longer? Don't take it the wrong way, but I don't know you that well. And if Kazuno-chan's going to drag me to the basketball practices all the time, then why not get to know you?" I finally said. It was.... a horrible, horrible explanation.
Reo stared at me for a second before he let a laugh escape. "Why not? I have time to spare," he said.
He went back in the house, and I sat down on the sofa in the next room. Reo followed. "You know, I did notice that Hayama-kun has taken a liking to your friend there," he started.
"Yeah, Kazuno-chan seems to be like that, too..."
"Now," Reo turned his full body towards me. "What's the real reason you wanted me to stay?"
"What?"
"Well, what did you really want to talk about? It couldn't have been about Nebuya-kun and his muscles, would it?"
I laughed nervously, "Probably not." I thought for a moment and hesitantly told him. "It was.... about.... Akashi-kun."
His eyes lit up, "So you do like him."
"What-- no.... you know what nevermind," I said as I stood up and brought Reo to the door. "Bye go have some fun at home, Senpai."
Before the boy could protest, I had already shut the door. I sighed and managed to let a chuckle out.

"How was work, today?" I asked Dad as he put his bag by the bare coat rack.
"It was good."
Mom leaned into the room, "Of course it would with your father's hard work."
"Yes," he answered.
I narrowed my eyes. There was something off about all this.
