Rest and Relaxation

When Ignis was talking about resting up in Lestallum before they had to head off again to Altissia, this wasn't exactly the type of 'resting' he was going for.

Within an hour of arriving to the modest hotel suite overlooking the port, three out of the four party members were already lost. He cursed himself under his breath, wondering what exactly in the Six's names was going through his head when he decided that the three others would be able to fend for themselves.

The frantic text from Prompto, with the exact words of, I can't find Gladio or Noctis, I think they got lost! was more than enough for Ignis to discern what had happened. And he was pretty sure Prompto was going to have an earful from him, manners be damned.

After his ingredients were dropped off at the slightly cluttered hotel room, he roamed the streets of Lestallum frantically looking for his companions. He seemed to have poked his head into every bar around the block before he spotted a shock of bright blonde spiked hair that only belonged to one person.

"Prompto!"

"Iggy! Oh Gods, I'm so glad you're here. I'm sorry I lost track of Noct and Gladio--" His look of distress made Ignis feel bad for the sharpshooter, thoughts of verbally chastising him out the window as he caught glimpse of the sheer amount of stress burning in those sky-blue eyes.

"No need for the apologies. Right now the more important issue at hand is finding Noctis and Gladio. Do you remember where they possibly headed off to?"

Prompto pointed in the direction he was walking towards earlier, "I saw them walking this way, but I wasn't sure which tavern they went into..."

"Come, I suppose we're going to have to go bar hopping."

"Does that mean I get to drink this time, Iggy?"

"Lucis may be no more, but the rule that you are underage to drink still stands." He could visualize the blonde pouting behind him as they rushed through the alleyway that Prompto believed to have seen them last.

"If the Prince is drunk is that a good enough excuse to get some booze?"

"No, Prompto. We're not getting you alcohol. And the Prince shouldn't even be drinking in the first place. Just think of me sparing you the lecture." He replied firmly, looking through the window of a tavern to see Noctis and Gladiolus sitting at the booth of the dimly-lit establishment. "Come along Prompto, I believe we have found our rogue dissenters."

"You make them sound like they broke the rules."

Ignis sighed, adjusting his glasses before replying, "Well, they did if you want to get into technicalities."

Prompto shrugged at the bespectacled man as he pushed the heavy door to the tavern open, the stench of booze and smoke hitting them like a brick wall. Both of them ignored the smells as much as they could, making their way to the table where their two friends sat secluded.

Ignis was at least grateful that they weren't making a scene at the very least.

Gladio seemed to be in worse shape than Noctis, who had fallen asleep with beer bottles and shot glasses surrounding him. The big man was slurring over his words as he grinned with a large burp that could've woken up the Lucian prince, but he didn't budge.

"Iggyyyy! Nice to see you herrre, my mann! Heyyy there Prom!" He greeted his two team members, eyes heavy-lidded with intoxication. Prompto had rounded the table to get to the sleeping prince, helping him up with a limp arm slung around his shoulders and an arm around his waist to support his weight.

Gladio tried to get up by himself, but as soon as he stood upon his two feet he nearly crashed into the table next to him, Ignis grabbing the large man before he could crash into the other table and supporting his weight. I swear to Shiva, he's like a dead weight...

"Iggy, let's go, I think they're going to have a massive hangover tomorrow," Prompto said to the man, voice strained as he was now carrying a dead asleep Noctis on his back piggyback. Ignis agreed, supporting the now blubbering man as he helped him walk. He ignored the strange innuendos coming from his companion's mouth, but he was also thoroughly amused.

He knew the swordsman was somewhat dirty-minded, but this. This was funny.

Prompto noticed the royal advisor chortling to himself before asking, "What's so funny?"

"Nothing. I may or may not be coming up with some sort of blackmail." Ignis replied a small smile to himself before thinking of all the recipes he could think of for their monstrous hangover tomorrow that included vegetables.
