ive finally realized that the two characters should meet and that i shouldn't keep you guys waiting so here it is 😏

-

He didn't believe what he was hearing. It was like believing pigs could fly. Seaon was nowhere sane to believe such ridiculous claim, but the tough reality of an oracle existing is strongly apprehensible.

They were made from the goddess' mercy to keep an eye on her creation. And that for whatever reason, the fate has laid its claim.

Seaon had been frequently feeling a dull pain on his chest, constantly stopping from a meeting to rub the sore part of his chest. This made the people in the palace worry, suggesting that he should seek the healer, and he did.

But the healer declined anything that might cause harm to him, explaining that everything seemed normal, although it troubles him to think that there wasn't a single cell to tell the poison that had encountered his being.

And so he seeked an oracle.

For the first time in his life, he saw an answer to his damned unanswered question.

"The fate in this world not only collides with you alone, it breaks you into two, both separated but eventually reembarks itself for the both to become one."

It remained in his mind the oracle's words.

He was not alone, somewhere, out there, was the other half that awaits to be reunited.

-

My heart thumped in my chest, if it got any louder I would think Langdon could hear it. I'm supposed to be out here by midnight, I could seek refuge out of Idris, and maybe continue my quest.

Langdon, with a confused look stared at James, "Why would-I haven't even prepared anything!"

James, unwilling to be affected by his Alpha's tone replied curtly, "It seems like it doesn't matter to his majesty, Alpha. He only wants to see the women, all for someone he was looking for."

I tried my very best to stay relaxed as possible but my shoulders were tense, I hope they didn't get the wrong idea.

"Alright then, prepare the women but I want my men guarding them, is that clear?"

"Clear as day, Alpha." James bowed and went for the door closing it behind him. Now it was only me and Landon.

He sighed and rubbed his head, clearly forgetting that I was in the room, or not.

He looked up and stared at my wide eyes. "Am I supposed to go up there, too?"

His eyes ignited something I couldn't even begin to recognise. "I deeply apologize... yes. But not without me, you'll be the luna after all."

He smiled and I tried my best to mimick it though it doesn't reach my eyes.

"I'll go get ready then..." I trailed not knowing what to do with his enigmatic stare.

"Of course."

I was back in my room and pacing, the same thing I did the first time I got here. I have to make plan b, and that I should not waste any more time than I already was.

I hate to break it but I feel sorry for Langdon and the pack, I hate to break his trust, but sometimes a woman's got to do what she has to do.

I cannot stay here, not when the King himself was on the verge of meeting me, my plan exactly, I need to improvise.

The hallway to my room was quiet, that because they were all outside to meet the King, why everyone was giddy and excited, I had no idea.

I sneak a peak from left to right, the coast was clear. I was dressed in a black leggings and hoodie, from like a person wanting to break out.

I need to be agile and smart to pull this stunt I ain't so sure would work. I had been out for a mere fifteen minutes and I pray to the goddess that Langdon wouldn't notice I was gone in the first place.

He was supposed to pick me up.

-

He could already feel his wolf agile, like there was something pulling him in. A sweet scent caught him off guard, and he wanted so badly to check where it came from but he restrained himself.

This was the last pack that he had yet to meet, and the last thread of hope in meeting her.

The women had started lining up for him to instigate. Some were eager to meet him, he was, in fact, an eye candy.

His wolf was getting edgier by the minute he started towards the women, the scent was getting stronger yet so far away, so far out of his reach.

The soldiers behind Seaon remained on there spot, while they speculatively eyes the people in the area, and then back to their King.

He was the priority after all.

And for him, she was the priority after all.

-

The sneakiest thing that I had managed was to get past the back doors. It was unguarded and very much easier for me to run away to.

I was aware of the people towards the front, and I did the utmost thing I wish I didn't do, I climbed up to the roof of the pack house until I could see the people from down below.

For some reason, it was an easy slate to climb upon roof, one that was as large as a three-story building and I didn't even break a sweat not that I plan to boast or anything.

But then there he was. King Seaon of Idrid, the last of his kind, he who was about to move to the last she-wolf halted in his tracks.

He was sensing something, he was sensing me. Like I did to him.

And then our eyes met, it glowed in the moonlight making me drown in its depths.

He growled, enough for me to hear.

"Mine."
