Chapter Seventeen: The Ball

Lucy's P.O.V

Big oak doors are what stood behind my mother as Stella and I walked threw the hole way. As I approached my mother I could hear muffled voices and music behind the door.

"Hey mum." I said smiling, as I hugged my mum.

"Hello Lucy." She said releasing from the hug.

"Queen." Stella said, bowing her head a doing a small curtsy.

"Stella." My mother said, returning her gesture.

"Okay, are you ready Princess Lucy." Stella said to me.

"Um, not just yet. I have a question." I said, looking at my mother.

"Ask away." My mother replied.

"When I walk through those doors.... What am I to do?" I asked, staring at the doorway.

"You will meet Igneel on the other side of the door. He will escort you for a little while and introduce you to people, whom you have already met but it will be more formal. The people you will be meeting are the Gods and Demons that you meet the other day, no need for you to meet the Zodiac spirits because you already know them. After that Leo will find you and ask to dance, which you will except of course. Then I think you can guess what happens after that." My mother said looking at me, as we turned to face the door.

"I'm guessing he will ask to marry me. Which I will have to accept of course." I said with a slight frown on my face.

"You are correct." My mother replied.

My mother waved her hand in front of her to magically push the two oak doors open. As soon as the doors opened I could hear the sweet music playing and the chatter and laughter of conversations project from inside the ball room. We entered at the top of a long staircase, with Stella behind us. Stella made her way down the staircase already as a man in a suit with a golden staph announced her name. My mother and I approached the man and my mother gave him a nod.

"Ready?" She asked me.

I took a deep breath.

"Ready." I replied.

The man banged his staph twice on the grown, it echoed threw the whole ball room, causing the music, conversations and dances to stop and let all eye's fall on my mother and I.

"I am proud to present to you, Queen Layla Heartfilia and Princess Lucy Heartfilia!" he announced to the crowed below.

"Your Majesties." Everyone in the crowed said in unison, as they bowed and curtsied.

My mother and I walked down the steps together. As we walked everyone stood back up and Igneel and my grandfather the Celestial King walked forward. they both presented there arms to us. My mother took her fathers and I took Igneel's.

"Princess." Igneel said with a smile.

"Igneel." I said returning the smile. "So what are we doing first?"

"I'm going to formally introduce you to all the Dragons, then we'll meet the Demons then the Gods." he said, as he escorted me towards a couple of the dragons.

~Time Skip to after the introductions~

It was nice to finally meet all the beings I will be training with. They were all so kind, the Demons and Hades were a little harsh but what else was I to expect from the Demons and the God of the underworld.

I was at the table with food tacking a look at everything. Igneel was already eating his second plate of food. I had decided to have one of the salad sandwiches. As I finished eating it I heard someone cough behind Igneel and I. We both turned around to see Loke standing there.
