Chapter Twenty-Two: So Many Questions... (Part Two)

Lucy's P.O.V

I covered my mouth with both my hands as I looked up at the person in front of me. The tears in my eyes just kept on falling.

"Hi Lucy..." They said.

I tried to say something but it wouldn't come out. I just kept on crying.

They bent down and helped me off the ground. She then pulled me in for a hug, I hugged her back and berried my face in her shoulder. Crying uncontrollably.

"Y-you're... a-alive." I said, my voice muffled.

"I never died." She said squeezing me tighter.

I kept on crying and she just let me. I could even feel a couple tears fall on to my shoulder from her. We stood there outside of the front door, hugging each other, and during the hug I heard Loke cough. I let go and turned around to look at him.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked him whipping my tears away.

"It's an early birthday present." He said.

I run up to him and gave him a hug.

"Thank you Loke." I say as he hugs me back.

We pulled apart and then Loke said. 

"Let's go inside and wait for your grandfather. Coming Yukino?" 

"Of course." She said as we all went to walk inside.

Natsu's P.O.V

It's weird... Weird that I ended up here of all places.

My aim was to walk to the guild, but my feet just took me here.

It's been a month since I've been here. That's a long time considering I used to sneak in every other night.

Lucy's place...

Why'd I come here. Guess I just miss her. 

"Oh well I'm here now." I say to myself, as I walk closer to the building.

I wonder if her place is even her's anymore. Maybe the Landlady sold it by now. 

I creek the door open and peak through. And to my surprise there was a pair of freaky eyes right in front of me. I let out a little squeal, a manly one by the way, and jump back. The door completely opened to reveal the Landlady standing there in cloths that actually fit her this time.

"Oh good it's just you." I say quietly to myself, letting out the breath I was holding in.

"What do you want?" The Landlady said sharply.

"Um I was just wondering if one of the girls that lived her, um, Lucy. Yeah her. I was wondering what happened to her apartment?" I ask. This lady is kind of intimidating.

"Oh her. Well I was going to put it up for rent today, why?" She send quickly.

"Um, would I be able to look around, I um think I might have um, left something here. Yeah I left something." I said, trying to be as convincing as I could.

The Landlady looked at me up and down before nodding her head and letting me in. I'm surprised that my excuse worked. This lady is kinda weird, and totally creepy.

I walk inside the building and follow the Landlady up the stairs. It's weird I've only come to Lucy's plays this way a couple times, I usually go through the window. We finally get to the top of the stairs and she pulls out the key for Lucy's apartment.

"You've got 15 minutes max, ok?" The Landlady say's, opening the door for me.

"Sure thing." I reply.

I walk in and she just closes the door behind me. It's weird being here and the place seems really empty. I slowly walk around taking everything in. Her desk, her couch, her bed and her little table is still here, basically only the furniture. I walk over to a cupboard that's built into the wall and open it to see what's inside. 

"Oh sheets." I say to myself. 

I guess she had just left whatever she didn't need. I walk over to the bed a sit on it. I can still kind of smell her sent, but it's beginning to fad. God, I miss her so much. I lay down and close my eye's for a second just letting myself drift into my thought. 

All I could really do is think about Lucy and what it might be like if she was still around. Then a thought popped into my head and, to my own surprise, I acted on it.

I shot up off the bed and rushed to the door, but slowing down when when I finally got to it. I've gotta be mature about this. It's a big decision so I can't act weird. I open the door and go to walk down the stairs then, to my luck, I run into the Landlady. 

"Found what you left?" The Landlady asked.

"Um yea. I have a question though." I said.

"Yeah, what is it I haven't got all day." She say's bluntly.

"I was um wondering if I could rent the apartment?..." I ask, rubbing my hand behind my head.

"Really?" She said, no effect in her voice what so ever.

"Um, yeah. The money won't be a problem at all, I'm a guild member at the wizard guild Fairy Tail, see." I say showing off my guild mark. "I'm one of the top Wizards so I'm always getting jobs. Just name your prise and I'll be willing to comply."

"Oh so you worked with her... Look, the rent is 70,000 jewels a month. So give me the money by the end of the week and it's yours." She says.

"Um, but the end of the week is tomorrow..." I say a bit nervous.

I see why Lucy was alway's complaining about money now.

"Can't pay it by then, then you've given it up. There's usually a lot more paperwork apart of renting a place, but I had a soft spot for the girl, so I'm willing to help you out." The Landlady said, walking back down the step.

"Yeah, okay, no problem at all." I say as I follow behind her.

"Guess I'll see you tomorrow then." She say's.

"Or later today." I say confidently.

The Landlady just scoffs and walks into her little office. 

I walk out the door, take a deep breath in and smile. I then star walking, jogging, running and then sprinting towards the guild.

"I'M ALL FIRED UP!" I yell with the biggest smile on my face.

I know I know, I'm a horrible person haha sorry shouldn't laugh

I pamoligise (I'm just saying it weird shhh) that I havn't updated in forever. 

I've just been so stuck, I had ideas and I couldn't form then into words.

then I was working a lot, then I had to move states -_- , then I had to get stuck into school work. 

But I'm back again and hopefully I won't be running off on you guys again. 

I honestly feel like this story is going to go on for ages so I'm gonna try as best as I can to update every two or three weeks. Maybe every week haha.
