When I woke up, I grabbed my green hat. It was nice and I saw that it made my green eyes pop out a little more. It felt nice on me. I had forgotten to set my alarm, but I wasn't scared about it. At least, not at the moment. Today, I felt stronger. Then I remembered what happened before I fell asleep.
I walked to Dean's room and I saw that he was gone. I figured that he was in the living room. I checked Sam's room and he wasn't in there either. They were both awake. I walked to the living room next.
"Hey, what happened? I thought that you would want me to say that?" I asked Dean as I walked to him. He was sitting at the table, eating something. Sam was sitting across from him, but he was on the phone.
"Delilah, it's nice that you want to be like me, but you can't." He said quietly. He didn't even look at me to say that.
"Why the hell not? Is it because I have cancer? Is it because I'm not a boy. I get that you would want to teach a son all of this. I mean, what guy wouldn't want any of this?" I asked him. I was getting emotional. It hurt that he was rejecting what I wanted.
"That's not it. It's that this is dangerous and I don't want you killed." Dean told me as he looked at me. I smiled and looked at the ceiling quickly.
"I'm dying right now. I'm being killed slowly by cancer. So that shouldn't be a problem." I told him with a smile. There was no reason why I shouldn't be a hunter.
"Sam, why can't I become a hunter like you and Dean?" I asked him as he set his phone down.
"Because you are too young and there is no reason for you to be. You can get out and get what is better." Sam told me simply. I scoffed and sat next to Dean.
"No, you don't know what is best. You know what is normal. I want this." I told them. They sighed and looked to see that Dean's gun was on the table. I grabbed it and Dean looked at me with wide eyes.
"I'll make a deal with you. If I can accurately shoot this, I get to stay and you two teach me. If I can't, I will learn all that I need to know and I will leave at 18." I told them. I knew that my 18th birthday was coming up soon, so I wouldn't have a full year with them.
"Deal." Dean told me. I thought that I saw him smile a little. He then took me to a shooting range in the bunker. I was surprised that they had this. I thought that they would got to the warehouse that was a little bit aways to shoot.
Dean set up the target and set it at 50 feet away from me. I sighed as I looked at the gun again. I didn't know how to shoot this. I looked at Sam and Dean and they seemed to be a little nervous about this. Either way, someone was getting screwed over. I picked it up and I got ready to shoot it.
"What am I aiming for?" I asked as I looked at the man silloutte.
"The heart or head." Sam told me. I sighed and pointed the gun to the head. I had played plenty of video games before this. If Sam and Dean could do it, I could. I was a Winchester afterall.
I stood there and pulled the trigger. I blinked and I saw that I had hit the target in the middle of the head. I smiled a little more and I aimed for the heart. I pulled again and I got it right in the heart too. The last one, I wanted ot make sure that I wasn't messing around. I aimed where the crotch would be and I pulled the trigger again. I hit it. Right in the middle.
"Son of a bitch." Dean muttered under his breath. I set it down and smiled at Sam and Dean.
"I think that I get to stay." I told them. I saw that Sam was shocked.
"How was that possible?" Sam asked me. I smiled and nodded my head.
"Hospitals have video games and I just so happen to be naturally good that them. I really didn't think that it would work like this." I told him with a smile. Dean laughed and pulled me into a hug.
