After Logan left I began to think of all of the bad things that could happen to me. Logan came back with a nurse and he began hitting her with questions. "WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY GIRLFRIEND! WHY CAN'T SHE FEEL HER LEGS?!? IS SHE GONNA BE OK?!?! CAN THIS BE TREATED!" he began yelling at the nurse. "SIR YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN! We didn't tell you but when she fell she messed up her spinal cord. Now your spinal cord is very important because it helps move your legs and all. With it screwed up, she will have trouble moving!" the nurse said. "Can it be treated?!?!" Logan asked the nurse. "It may be possible but it will be very expensive and also it might be unlikely that it'll work." the nurse said. "Please I'll do anything! I can't loose her! She needs to be able to walk!" he said. I saw a tear roll down his cheek. I've never seen him cry since we were really young! It made me feel bad for Logan than for me. He knows how much I use my legs. Especially with soccer! I just hope that the doctors and nurses can do something!
The nurses and doctors have been trying to do something to help my legs but so far....nothing is working. They have an idea but I don't really like it! They said that they can put something in my legs and back to help them work together! Here's the good and the bad of doing that. The good, I can walk again and do sports, dance and do everything that I love! The bad, I have to go to the hospital every month so they switch out a metal piece. Also I can feel the metal rubbing against my legs when I would move.
Trust me being able to walk is my dream! But I don't want to put anyone in a position. I'm not sure how long the treatment will take to work, but I hope that it isn't anything too long. I heard them talking about the price and I don't want my parents, or Logan going through that. I truly am ok not being able to walk. It will just take some adjustments! I might not be able to do the sports that I love, but I am ok with that.
3 months later.....
It's been a couple of months now. I am still paralyzed. I got the paper in the mail for soccer tryouts. I ripped it up and threw it in the trash. Then the next day I got a gymnastics tryouts at the gym that I go to. Well the one I used to go to. I started then getting swimming tryouts. I don't really know why. I think my mom might have signed me up for it before my accident. Logan comes every day to my house because my parents leave for work and he gets my work and his work before he comes to my house. He is the best boyfriend ever, I don't know what I would ever do without him! I've had a crush on him forever and I am soo happy to call him mine!
One day I was laying in bed and I woke up from a nap! My mom called me downstairs and I did what I would always do. I got up out of bed, walked downstairs and asked my mom what she needed. "Hey mom what do you need?" I told her. "Oh honey are you okay-" she said. She stopped and dropped and glass container full of dinner. "HONEY!" she screamed! "AYE WHAT MOM?!?" I said back. "LOOK DOWN!" she said motioning me to look down! I looked down to see my legs! At first I was confused, then I understood! "I CAN WALK AGAIN!" I screamed. I ran upstairs, grabbed my phone, and I called Logan. "Come on pick up!" I said while holding the phone to my ear. "Babe are you ok?" he said concerned. "I CAN WALK!" I screamed into the phone. "WAIT WHAT!?!" he said. "JUST COME OVER!" I said. I hung up the phone and put on a shirt and shorts.
Not long after I heard knocking on the front door. Now this knock wasn't your usual neighbor like knock. No way it was like police with a search warrant! I opened the door to see guess what the police! "Hello officer, how may I help you?" I said politely. "Hello young lady, where's your parents?" he asked. "Inside, is something wrong?" I asked. "We are looking for a man named Joshua Lockwood?" they told me. "I don't mean to be rude, but why do you need him?" I asked. "We appreciate you asking politely, but he has been caught for the murder of Aliyah Rose, and a robbery shortly after." he said. My heart stopped at that moment. Joshua Lockwood is my father. He was always so nice, but who knew, someone you loved seemed to hurt you the most. "Excuse me ma'am?" one of the officers asked me. "Oh yeah sorry, why don't you come in." I said. I opened the door wide and I moved out of the way. They walked in and sat down at the dinner table. I made a big thing of coffee and I gave some to the officers.
"So ma'am do you know where Joshua Lockwood is?" they asked me. "Sadly, yes he is my father!" I told the officers. "Where is he now?!?" they asked me. I could tell that their tone in their voices got a lot scarier. "He's probably in his bedroom upstairs." I told them. "Thank you young lady, why don't you go outside." one of the officers said. He grabbed my arm and pulled me outside. When he brought me outside he pushed me into a wall. "I love your eyes, and your perfect teeth!" the officer said. "DUDE GET THE HECK OFF OF ME!" I yelled. "NAH YOUR TOO PRETTY FOR ME TO LET YOU GO." he said with a smirk on his face. He leaned into kiss me when.... "LEAVE MY GIRLFRIEND ALONE!" I heard. I looked behind the officer to see Logan with his fight face. "Get outta here kid!" the officer said. The officer un-clipped something that was holding his gun. I began to get very nervous and I began getting sick. "I'm not leaving my girlfriend alone with you!" Logan said. "Well too bad cause she won't have you anymore!" he said. "What do you mean?" Logan said. The officer pulled out his gun and began to load it. I had an instinct and I did it. I ran in front of the officer and when he shot it, it hit me instead of Logan.
