HarryxGinny

I prodded my food with my fork lightly. To tell the truth, i was worried.

Harry hadn't left his room for weeks, he hadn't eaten, and i was worried about him. After many failed attempts from Hermione and Ron, i had decided it was gonna be my turn to convince him.

I knew i probably wouldn't do better than Harry's best friends, but it was worth a shot, wasn't it? I was broken out of my thoughts when Ron came slumping down the stairs. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at him hopefully, but he just shook his head and sat next to me.

This was my chance. I stood and and began walking up the stairs. I faintly heard Ron shouting my name from the door, but i wasn't listening. I was going to get Harry out of that dingy room once and for all. Before i knew it, i was standing outside of the battered-looking door that i knew lead to the room Sirius used to live in before he... Left.

I silently pushed the door open and shut it as quickly and quietly as i could. I looked down and faintly saw the outline of a body, but i could see Buckbeak the Hippogriff looking at me suspiciously. I locked my eyes with his amber ones, and sank into a deep bow, when i looked back up, i noticed he had done the same.

I walked over and patted his beak gently, smiling when his eyes closed slightly, signalling to me he was enjoying it. I turned and looked at the boy curled up against the wall.

I didn't want to frighten him, so i simply sat in front of him, legs crossed, and rested my hand on his knee. He flinched at first, but then let out a badly stifled sob.

He very slowly lifted his head and looked at me. I couldn't say i expected him to look the same, but this was worse than i thought. His skin was pale and waxy, stretched tightly over his face with lack of food. His blood-shot eyes were red-rimmed and puffy, and there was dried tear tracks on his cheeks.

I gave him a faint smile but it wasn't returned. I looked deeply into his eyes and realised they were filled with nothing but sadness and pain. It made me feel sick.

I gently rubbed circles into his knee with my thumb, but he didn't move in the slightest. Until, 'It's my fault, isn't it?' His voice was raspy and cold, and i knew i couldn't lie to him.

'Yes, yes it was.' I replied, watching his face mould to shocked. 'I won't lie to you, Harry. You messed up, jumped the gun, you might say.' He seemed confused by my words, more the fact i had said it was his fault, i think.

'That doesn't mean you should beat yourself up about it. Anyone could have made that mistake. Just because it was you, doesn't mean it wasn't anyone else's.' I seemed to have made him feel slightly better, but i wasn't done.

'You know, you can be a real idiot at times. "What if i'm the snake?", "I'm putting you all in danger.". I sometime wonder if you blaming yourself if like a habit, you know? A need.' He frowned at me at first, but smiled and said.

'I can't help that i care about you.' I smiled at his comment, and decided it was about time i left. 'I'll bring you some food.' I stood up and just as i reached the door, i heard Harry call to me.

'Ginny! Ginny, you-you'll come back, and talk with me.' He said. I nodded and smiled. I would always come back to him.

Always.

This is really short, but it's an idea i've had for a while, and i just wanted to write it down. Sorry!
