To Tell

     As I stepped in to school on May 1, 2016, almost a year after I became a mermaid and a day before Daniel was supposed to change me, only Teresita, Tye, Joey, Daniel, and my sisters knew about me so was I supposed to tell Teresita about tomorrow, everyone else already knew. I walked into home-room as usual and sat down in my seat next to Teresita. "Hey" she said sitting next to her other friend Dawn "you look tense" she said realizing immediately that I was up to something, Dawn knew about Teresita but not me, I was never really close to her but her and Tay got along really well with but we just clash. "Nothings up" I said obviously lying "I can smell your blood racing from here" she said knowing me all too well "I'm fine" "fine" she said backing off knowing that she should not push me past a limit. 

After class I went home to think. 

I stepped through my front door and walked around. There was a small brush of wind and Daniel stood next to me holding my hips "tonight" he said, I turned around in his arms "tonight?" I wondered "tonight I turn you" "I thought you said not until I'm 13" "yes and at midnight you'll officially be 13" "oh" I said stupidly. "Are you nervous?" he asked "well" "you are?" "you would be too, if you knew you would end up being a vampire in what it's 6 so 6 hours" "yeah I guess" "hmm" I chuckled to myself. My dad pulled up "you better go" I said pushing Daniel away "see you tonight" he said happily "ok". As Daniel left out the back door my dad walked through the front door "hey dad" "hey sweetie" he said coming in all the way and taking off his shoes "how was your day" "good" I said smiling "I made you dinner" I told him pointing to the microwave "ok, thanks I'll eat this and go to bed" "ok dad goodnight" I walked over and gave my dad a kiss "night" he said walking to his room. 

5 hours and 55 minutes later Daniel showed up and we made sure my dad was asleep "you ready?" he said as we stood alone "no" I said swallowing my spit "but I can do this" the clock hit 12:00am "ok" we said. We walked outside together and sat down. He took my arm in his hand and lifted it up. "Good luck" he said, he had this look of terror in his eyes and I didn't know why but that changed... I could feel his sharp teeth sink into my arm, it was painful, but nothing like what came next. I felt his teeth leave my arm, I could feel the venom spread to my whole hand my arms and everything else at the same time my whole body was burning in ice, the pain was indescribable the most painful thing I didn't know how to stop the pain or fix it. There was nothing to concentrate on it was completely pain, in my head I was squirming and yelling uncontrollably but in real life I lay there motionless, passed out, dead. I thought I was dying, what if he were accidentally killing me. The pain of my thoughts just added to the real pain of the burning in my blood, the terrifying ice and fire killing me so slowly. The venom wrapped around my veins, it was excruciatingly painful, it hit me all at once and slowly, I was burning in agony and fire and ice in agonizing, excruciating pain.... Then suddenly it stopped. It was silent, painless... wonderful. My eyes opened wide, green and brown and no longer just brown.
