Chapter 5.

Recap

I woke up and looked around. No one was in the van but me. I looked out the window and saw we were at this abandoned house. I saw the door to the house open and then I ducked back down away from the window. A few seconds later the door to the van opens. I look up and see Kirstin.

Kirstin motioned at me for me to follow her. I was shaking when I tried to get up. I then climbed out of the van and then Kirstin grabbed my wrist. I jumped in surprise and she pulled me up to the house. She takes her hand off my wrist and then she gives me the look. The look where like if u run u dead that kind of look. I just stay put cause ya know I don't wanna die. So she looked away and then put the key in the door. She unlocked the doors and then grabbed my wrist again. I could feel my eyes starting to water again. I used my other hand to wipe my eyes. She opened the door then pushed me down on the ground to where I was laying face down. "Be careful with her! We just want her as bait for the Grammy back" I heard Mitch exclaim as he ran to help me up. Bait? And why did they get me for the Grammy back? Mitch tried to help me up then Kirstin punched his arm. "Let her get up herself" Kirstin says while taking her arm back to her side. I start to stand up then Kirstin pulls my foot and makes me fall on the ground again. I hear Avi, Kirstin, Scott, and Kevin laughing when I fall. Kirstin walks away laughing and joins the boys in the kitchen. Mitch stays behind. He starts to help me stand up again. I stand up and then Mitch whispers "are you okay" I don't say anything and just keep looking down. "Don't worry I'm going to make sure you won't get hurt again and I'll never hurt you" says Mitch as he looks down at me. I look up at Mitch and just hug him. After what's happened I just needed a hug. I don't care who with I just need a hug. Yes my anxiety is telling me to not touch him but I needed one. I let go then just walk back. I only take a few steps back though. I can tell Mitch is staring at me. I always know when someone is staring at me. " you can hug me" Mitch tells me as he walks up to me. I hug him again and it felt amazing. Right when we let go again Kirstin comes in and tells Mitch to take me up to one of the rooms. He takes me too the nicest one (for being an abandoned house). "I'm so sorry but I have to do this" I hear Mitch say while he pulls out a rope from his pocket. I back up into the wall. "I'm sorry I really don't want to do this but do you want me or Kirstin to do it" Mitch says while looking at me. I give in and put out my wrists. Mitch ties them then helps me sit down. "I'm sorry but I have to go in the kitchen with everyone else. They will think I'm helping you escape or something if I don't go in there with them. I'll try and come back as soon as possible" Mitch says while standing up and walking towards the door. "I'm sorry" I hear mitch say right before he closes the door. Now it's just me and my thoughts oh great. What did they mean by bait? And I guess they figured out who stole their Grammy if Mitch said I'm bait to get the Grammy back. But why me? No one I know would steal. I hear footsteps coming closer in the hallway. I scoot as close to the wall as possible and right when I hit the wall I hear the door open. I looked down immediately not wanting to see who it is. "It's ok it's just me" I hear Mitch say while I look up a little. I see it's only him and I look fully up. I look and see he has a pizza slice in his hand and look back at him. "Yes the slice is for you" he says even more quietly. I guess he doesn't want the rest to hear him. He sits down next to me and unties my hands. When he unties my hands he hands me the plate with the pizza slice. I take the tiniest bite and then put the pizza back on the plate. As you can tell I'm not really that hungry cause you know, I've just been kidnapped. "I under stand your not hungry because you know you just got kidnapped but it might be a while before I can sneak you food again" mitch says while looking at me. I dont say anything I just grab the pizza again then take another tiny bite. "The only reason I was able to get this one is because they are all drunk. And when I grabbed this piece they were all looking away" Mitch says while I look up at him. "You haven't talked at all have you? If you can't talk I'm sorry but if you can why won't you? Is it because you know we just kidnapped you? Or do you just not talk?" Mitch says while looking back at me with confusion in his eyes. "I do talk I just don't want to talk right now" I say almost as quite as a whisper. "I understand queen that you don't want to talk but if you ever need help from those drunk jerks in the kitchen you can always come to me" Mitch says while sliding the plate back towards me. For once today I think I just smiled.
