The lights were dimmed almost completely setting the mood. I was looking for Barry so he can give me a quick pep talk. He was literally nowhere to be found until I saw his familiar looking suit. He was talking to Isabel nervously with his hands in the pockets of his pants. I began to smile as I watched them flirt with each other. After a few more minutes of me staring at them Isaac comes along. I immediately walk his way. He didn't see me until I was brushed up against his arm, he stared down at me. "What do you want?"

I began to stammer, "U-Um... hey."

He raised his eyebrow and crossed his arms across his chest, "Hey?" I felt my face turning red and hot. Hey? What am I thinking?

"I just want to apologize for being rude to you when we met..." I blurted making his face tense. "Apologize? You?" His face scrunched in confusion. "Can you stop saying what I'm saying." I sighed rolling my eyes. I glanced behind him to see Barry and Isabel went somewhere else. I let a breath out with relief and looked back up at him. "I've never met anyone like you." He admitted with somewhat a smile. My face sorta twitched with shock, suddenly intrigued I said, "What do you mean?"

He shook his head, "It doesn't matter." His body language was suddenly very stiff, very uncomfortable. He walked away after I noticed the difference. I watched as he disappeared into the crowd of people. My legs became tired from standing in heels so I decided to go get a drink.

"What'll it be?" The bartender asked as soon as I sat down. "Tequila Mockingbird," I said looking around for Barry and Isabel. Sure enough they were across sitting down talking.

"Here ya' go. Enjoy." He politely said as he put a garnish on it. "Thank you," I nodded just sitting staring at them. I wish Ian was here so we can dance or just stare at each other. My eye caught a hand in my face. It was Isaac.

"Oh hey again." I sipped the strong drink with a scowl. "I meant that no female has ever stood up to me before but you." My face was still a scowl from the drink, "Well I don't take shit from anyone. Especially an asshole like you." I took another swig making him study me. "I'm not really the asshole, everyone sees though."

"Oh spare me the story. You got your heartbroken and you're heartless now. Is that it?" I put the glass down with a goofy grin. He remained unphased by my words, "My parents were killed in a drunk driving incident when I was 15. So I never had a girlfriend to get heartbroken actually, I was too busy taking care of Isabel." My eyes were watering for a minute but I took a deep breath, "You've never had a girlfriend?"

He cracked a beautiful smile, "I tell you my parents died in a car crash and you ask about my relationship history? This is what I meant, you're also odd."

I blinked apologetically, "I'm so sorry about your parents. My bad, I was really interested by that part though... So you're like a virgin?" I blurted in embarrassment. He stared at me with a emotionless face. I looked down at my drink, playing with the garnish.
