Gray's POV

I DON'T WANT THIS DAY TO END! I thought silently to myself as I played with Kens. In the past 4 years... she was the first person to get me to sing. Just when I thought this day, this moment... would last forever, the school bell rang. I handed Kens her toy and grabbed my bag.

"Well... it was nice meeting you, Kens. See you awound tomowow. Bye." I said waving at her. I was about to teleport away until Kens stepped in front of me.

"Wait. D-Do... you w-want to... walk home with me?" She asked shyly. I nodded.
We walked out of the classroom and we talked all the way out to the parking lot.

"So, do you have any brothers or sisters?" I asked. She nodded.

"Yeah. I have a younger brother. His name is Nikolas." Kens said.

OMG I AM THE LUCKIEST GUY ON THE PLANET TALKING TO A GIRL LIKE THIS AND SHE IS TALKING TO SOMEONE LIKE ME! I thought. I tried not to let it bother me.

"What about you? Do you have a family?" Kens asked. That question struck a nerve. I tried not to let it show.

"Y-yeah. I-I have a-a famiwy." I said trying to force a smile. But it came out as silent tears. Kens noticed it pretty quick.

"A-are you ok? I-I a-am so s-sorry! I didn't m-mean to-" I cut her off. I wiped my tears.

"I'm fine, Kens. It's just a touchy subject. Let's just tawk about something else." Then someone grabbed my shoulder and pulled me away from Kens.

"Hey Squirt. You got my money?" They said pounding a fist into my face.

"Y-yeah! H-here y-you g-go!" I said handing him a 20 dollar bill.

"WHAT?! THATS IT?! YOU ARE USELESS!" He throws me to the ground and beats me till I'm bleeding. He finally sees Kens. The Mafia leader nodded towards Kens.

"I got her boss." The goon said as he started to walk towards Kens.

Then my magic got the better of me. A blinding flash of light pulsated throughout the town. When the blinding flash disappeared, we were in a completely different area. I grabbed her hand and we ran deep into the forest.

"Where are we going?" Kens asked. I looked back at her.

"You'll see soon enough." I said as dodged the trees. I stared straight ahead again skillfully dodging the trees. I slowed down as we approached an open area. There was a big wooden box in the center.

"W-where are we?" Kens asked looking around. I looked back at her with a faint smile.

"Wewcome to my home." I said quietly.

Kens' POV

I stared at him. Is this some kind of joke? I thought as i looked over at the box.

"This... is where you live? It's... something else." I said gently. Then I noticed how badly Gray was bleeding. I ran over to his side.

"I-I'm f-fine." Gray said slowly. I could tell he was lying. I grabbed a phone out of my pocket and called mom. After I explained everything she was on her way. Then I could hear sirens from beyond the woods. But by the time the doctors came, Gray was already unconscious. Mom hurried me into her car and we followed the ambulance.

A FEW HOURS LATER...

I was sitting in the waiting room. When the doctor came out, I ran over to her.

"Will Gray be ok?" I asked. The doctor nodded.

"He should be able to walk and go to school tomorrow." The doctor said comfortingly. She shook hands with mom and she drove me home.
