Gray's POV
It was the same as always. We were playing with action figures and taking turns singing different songs. Kens just finished singing 'A New Leaf'. She looked at me.
"How was that?" Kens asked. I clapped with a smile. Kens blushed a little. I thought about what to sing, until it hit me.
I've heard there was
A secret court.
That David played,
And it pleased the lord.
But you don't really
Care for music do ya?It goes like this.
The fourth, the fifth.
The minor fall,
the major lift.
The baffled king composing,
Hallelujah.Hallelujah, Hallelujah.
Hallelujah, Hallelujah.Your faith was strong.
But you needed proof.
You saw her bathing on the roof.
Her beauty and the moonlight, over threw ya.She tied you to a chair.
She broke your throne.
She cut your hair.
From your lips she drew the
Hallelujah.Hallelujah, Hallelujah.
Hallelujah, Hallelujah.I ended the song. Then Kens clapped. Now it was my turn to blush. The bell rang, we grabbed our stuff, and headed out of the school. Then Kens asked me a question that startled me.
"Gray, who was your grandfather?" Kens asked. I stared at the ground in mournfulness. All I can remember is his name, face and job. I let out a mournful sigh.
"His name was W.D. Gaster. He was one of the smawtest skewetons I had ever met. But... it has been a while since I had seen him." I said sadly.
"Oh... I'm sorry." Kens said. I just shrugged solemnly. I then ran my fingertips along the deep gash on my ribs. It wasn't as bad as yesterday, but it was still tender.
"It's ok. Sometime soon, I was pwanning on heading to his wab soon." I said before sighing. I looked at Kens with a tired smile.
"Can I come? I mean... if... you want me to." I just nodded. Kens squealed in delight and excitement. I just smiled. Should I let her come? There may be to many traumatizing things. Kens somehow read my mind. "Don't worry. I'll be able to handle it." She put a reassuring hand on my shoulder. We stopped at the woods that hid my house within it.
"Since today is Friday, maybe we can go tomowow." I said calmly. Kens gave me a hug, said goodbye and walked home. I walked into the woods. My nightmares. They haunt me when I'm awake. I sat in my box silently, I was extremely tired (no surprise considering I'm an insomniac) so I started to fluff my pillow. I sat it back in my box. Even though it was only six in the afternoon, I started to feel drowsy. Before I knew it, I was asleep.
IN THE DREAMWORLD...
I appeared in a hallway of an old building. The sun shone through the windows making it look like it was golden in the sunlight. But there was always one thing in the dream that I could detect. The air was always metallic. Piles of dust were scattered in different places. I heard footsteps approaching. Then a signature smile enveloped in darkness of the other end of the hallway. I saw the glint of a knife in the distance. White dust covered the oversized blade. The blade was at least 2 ft long & at least 7 inches wide. I cowered a little at the sight of their demonic smile.
"Howdy. I'm Harca. There is no one left for you. Let me destroy you without to much struggle." Harca said calmly. Then with lightning fast speed, they throw their knife. Before I'm able to dodge, the knife pierces through my left eye. I fell to the ground on my side, screaming for help. With the flick of their wrist, Harca withdraws the knife back into her murderous grip. Harca slowly walked towards me with a predatorous smile.
Kens' POV
I woke up in the middle of the night for a strange reason. I felt a strong negative pulse coming from Gray's house. I slipped on my slippers and quietly snuck out of the house. When I arrived at Gray's house, I nearly fainted at the sight of him. As I ran over to him, He started to become engulfed in magical purple flames and it looked like his mouth was opened to scream, but no sound came out.
"Gray? GRAY! Wake up! It's just a dream!" The magical flames and his inaudible screams diminished. Then I noticed the blood pouring out of his left eye. When the silent screaming and flames ended altogether, Gray started to wake up. He held his paw over his eye. When Gray saw me, he was shocked. I didn't know what to say, so I just hugged him.
"What are you doing here?" He then noticed my Chibi SepticEye Sam Pjs. "Cute pjs, btw." I tried my best not to blush.
"Come on! We need to get you to a hospital!" I said anxiously. Then a huge yawn escaped my mouth. When I tried to get up, he gently pulled me back down to the ground to sit.
"Wisten Kens. Your to tired to make it to the hospital, & thewe is no way I'll be be able to teweport in this condition. Awso, it's at least a mile or two away. Let's just wait until tomowow, k?" Gray said comfortingly. I yawned again and layed my head down on his lap. And I silently fell into a deep sleep.
Gray's POV
When Kens finally fell asleep, I gently picked her up and carried her home. I couldn't help but limp on the way there. I rang the doorbell and Doriel answered almost instantly.
"Hi, Ms. Waab. Sowy about this. I had a bad dweam and your daughter was able to sense it." I said apologetically.
"It's alright. I like it when you two look out for each other. But we need to get you to the hospital."
This time we just brought Kens. As all this happened. The song 'Deja Vu' by Initial D was going through my head. I sat in the back so Kens could lay her head on my shoulder. As we pulled into the parking lot of the hospital, I couldn't prevent myself from hating myself. I walked inside with Doriel as she carried her daughter. They brought me to the Pediatric Care wing and hooked me up to their machines. Kens was only half awake at the time, but she asked if she could lie down next to me. The nurse looked at me waiting for an answer. I nodded. They lied Kens down next to me on the bed. Then when the nurses and Doriel weren't looking I quickly pecked Kens on the forehead and tried to sleep.
