Gray's POV

"It's beautiful today, isn't it?" Kens asked. I was staring at her, blushing a little.

"You have no idea." I said quietly. She turned and looked at me.

"Your a cute goat." Kens said kissing me on the cheek. It was then quiet for a few moments. Kens looked at me again. "Do you think... that mom and dad can handle Grayson?" Kens asked.

"Don't wowwy. They can handle you, so I'm suwe they can handle Grayson." I said nudging her playfully. I stood up and held my hand out for Kens to grab it. When she did, I smiled gently. "Let's go to Hallby's Lanes. I know a shortcut." I snapped my fingers and we were there.
I got my teleportation just right to where when we landed, we fell on the seats of an empty table.

"I have my suspicions about soul traits." Then it seemed as if time slowed down.

"What do you mean?" Kens asked. I lowered my head so only Kens could hear.

"I don't know if I should tell you. Someone might be listening..." I said.

"Did someone put a bounty on you again? Please say no..." Kens said no. I chuckled. All the really bad mafia groups hate me. I'm the youngest in the MCA or Mafia Catch & Arrest, so big mob leaders want me for big bucks.

"No. I mean... another bounty was probably put up, but that's not what I'm talking about. Because it's rude to talk about someone when they are still around." I said looking deep into Kens' soul. Sure enough, I found what I was looking for. A speck of HATRED deep within the depths of her soul. I used my magic on the speck. It rendered itself disfunctional for now.

"What are you doing?" Kens asked.

"Preventing someone from listening." I replied calmly. I then continued to speak. "You haven't been yourself, Kens. I don't know if you were aware yesterday, but you almost pulled out a knife on the bully when you would usually talk to them. It's not your fault. I know that. I just need you to tell me what's going on." I said seriously. Kens started twirling her hair with her fingers.

"You wouldn't understand. I don't even understand..." Kens said her hands shaking. I placed my paws on top of her hands.

"Then I will try my best to understand. I already have some theories, but some information from the sources would be helpful." Kens looked down at her hands.

"Ok... ok. When you were out late last night, I felt a pulse of power. Sort of like when I sensed you getting hurt from your dreams. I walked into the forest. There was a boy in the forest alone. When I tried to walk closer, I heard someone say, 'Don't you know not to talk to strangers?'. I turned to the voice, but no one was there. Then when I turned and looked back at the boy, he wasn't there. Then I sorta blacked out. When I opened my eyes again, I was home." Kens was trembling. "What's going to happen to me?" Kens started crying. I held her hands tightly.

"Nothing is going to happen to you. I won't let anything happen to you." I kissed her hand. We got up and hugged each other.

"So... you'll try and find a cure right?" Kens asked nervously. I kissed her on the cheek. She blushed a little.

"Of course I will. Just try fighting them as long as you can. Who knows what they want to use you for." I said quietly. I snapped my fingers and everything returned back to normal. I winked at her.

"I think we should tell Adrias about this. So we have more of an understanding." Kens suggested. I nodded. I snapped my fingers and we were in Adrias's lab. I knocked on the door that led up to Adrias's room.

"Knock. Knock." I said. I heard someone fall off a couch or bed. Then the door slid open.

"Gray? *yawns* Do you have any idea what time it is?" Adrias asked rubbing her eyes.

"Yeah. It's 6:30 pm. Around dinnew time. But that's not impowtant wight now. What's impowtant, is that you need to scan Kens's soul. NOW." I said my eye glowing lightly. Adrias cowered a bit.

"U-um right. Kens, f-follow me." Adrias said motioning towards a room. My eye immediately stopped glowing and I smiled at Adrias.

"Thanks a bunch Adrias. I'll wait out here." I said sitting down. After they disappeared behind the door, I pulled a knife out of my pocket. I cut into the flesh on my arm. I bit my lip so I wouldn't scream. This is the punishment of letting a genocidal child possess my fiancé. I must accept that this is my fault. I thought. When I was done, my fur was stained black do to the diseased blood. Glad I'm wearing a long sleeve shirt. I thought silently to myself. When I heard the door opening I quickly rolled my sleeves down.

"Thanks, Adrias. See ya around." Kens walked out. I stood up and walked towards Kens.

"So? What did she say?" I asked eagerly. Kens shook her head.

"She couldn't find anything wrong with me. I know I'm possessed though! They talked to me! They trapped me inside my soul! I fell the tentacles of hatred wrapping around me... it burns..." she started crying and fell on her knees. I kneeled down and hugged her tightly.

"I will find a cure, I promise." Then Kens stopped moving. She started snoring lightly. I picked her up and walked her home thinking: I must find a cure.
