SERAPHINA'S POV

The car smelt like roses. Or was that myself?

I walked out of the building into the car and the first thing I smell is roses. The scent was not here before.

I was about to put my backpack on the passenger seat as I saw roses on the seat.

I wondered who it was from as I put down my bag softly picking up the roses.

There was a card.

"Thank you for the interview Miss Stayling. It was good for you to accompany me during my break. My best regards goes to you. See you soon, Seraphina."

-Mr. Christensen

Holy shit.

Did Hayd- Mr. Christensen just give me roses? My cheeks fired up as I looked out the window of someone watching me then walking back into the building.

The question is how did they get into the car?

I pushed it the question out of the way as I put the keys in the car and turned it on.

The muffler and starter kicked in as I rode off back home.

Thoughts kept filling my mind as I was driving. He seemed so quiet but yet so mysterious.

Hayden made my head spin with delight and made me feel things I have never really felt toward any man.

I WAS HOME after a short time I grabbed the roses and my backpack turning the car off and running back into my home to finally get a sandwich.

I unlocked the door still seeing Jessie there watching her television shows as she put it on mute and smiled.

"How was it? Was he nice? Is the building amazing?"

"It was great. Yes he was nice and young, and yes the building was spectacular." I said mocking her but she put out her arms for me to throw her my bag.

I didnt hesitate as I threw the bag to her to listen to the interview.

I already knew she was going through the bag as she finally got the recorder and the earbuds in my bag and began to listen.

The thought of a sandwich popped in my mind as I walked to the fridge and took out cold cuts following the mustard. I liked how the cold hit my skin when the fridge was open. It felt like my heart.

"Mr. Christensen seemed like he was fancying you." Jessie popped up out of no where as I closed the fridge and grabbed the bread next to it beginning my sandwich.

"We were just having a conversation Jessie." I said grabbing a knife opening up the mustard spreading it on the sandwich following the coldcuts I took out.

"A conversation? Bull shit Sera! Come on he was totally into you."

"Stop! He was not." My cheeks got red as she began to laugh at me.

"Was he cute?" She questioned me as I took a bite out of my sandwich after putting the other slice of bread on top.

"I mean, yes. But he is quite a couple years older I think. Scratch out yes-" I thought. "He was very...attractive to me."

Jessie laughed then smiled staring into my eyes with her brown ones.

"He must've been attracted to you too." Jessie pointed out before putting down the recorder on the side looking in the notes.

"You didn't really take any notes. Busy by his looks?"

"Im sorry and no. I guess notes aren't really...interesting." I spoke looking at the recorder finishing my sandwich.

"It is alright! I have everything in the recorder so trust me it's okay that you hardly wrote anything." Jessie smiled before closing the notebook and putting it on the side of the recorder yawning. "Im tired. See you in the morning Seraphina."

I nodded as she closed her eyes I walked into the bathroom and done my nightly routine.

I looked into the mirror looking at myself then thinking about Hayden again and the way his hair looked.

The way his smiled was plastered on my face.

Soon after that it was Monday.

Hell began.
