SERAPHINA'S POV
"Miss Helling?" The man questioned above me. He extends his hand in front to help me stand up. "I'm Hayden Christensen. Are you alright? Would you like to sit?"
His eyes were beautiful as they glanced and shining into my eyes.
He was tall, had dark blond or light brown hair with blue orbs. He was wearing a dark grey button down shirt with dress pants and shoes. It takes me moment's to find the words to use to speak back to him.
"Uh...um. Actually-" I looked up seeing his hand still out as I grabbed it letting him help me stand up as I felt and electric shock as our hands touched. "Miss Helling couldn't attend. She caught the flu and I am filling in for her. I am Seraphina. Seraphina Stayling." I finished my sentence.
"Well Good evening Miss Stayling. Would you like to sit?" Mr. Christensen asked me as I shook my head slowly sitting down in an "L" shaped chair.
The whole office was like a penthouse. About half of office was equal to the size of my apartment. His seat was against the window showing all of Seattle. Dark wood with pictures by artists behind it.
"Paintings are from Russia. Matthew Lincoln I believe." Mr. Christensen replied while sitting down in the chair.
"Th-they are very etiquette. Very extraordinary." I smiled looking at him looking at the paintings on the wall.
It is true they are...very etiquette.
"I agree, Miss Stayling." His voice made me blush as he said my last name.
I took out the recorder and note pad and questions out of my backpack getting ready for the interview.
"C-can I record you?" I asked while taking all the time in the world to take out the recorder.
"You took all that time just too take out the recorder." He said as my skin turned red. Did he mock me? Make fun of me. "Yes you can record me." Mr. Christensen nodded his head while waiting for me to ask him.
"How is someone so young running a huge empire?" I asked while turning on the recorder with my right hand waiting for an answer while tapping my foot on the floor.
"Well Miss Stayling. Business is all about the people. You must know about them. What makes them nervous, excited, happy. Any type of feeling is a good start to a business" He paused while I wrote down small notes. I nodded while listening to every word he spoke as I looked back up and he continued. "I do everything to make sure everything even small points are perfect. One flaw everything can get messed up. The bottom line is it is always down to good people." Mr. Christensen shook his head as I wrote final notes in the notepad.
"You are just lucky." I said with a small smile looking back up into his glare as he stared into my eyes.
"Well, I make sure to control everything and everyone. Anything wrong makes me go into a cringe state. Leadership is pride. I need pride to strive." He said as I nodded.
"Sounds like you are a control freak." I replied looking at him with a small smirk.
"I exercise control in all things, Miss Stayling." Mr. Christensen replied with a smirk plastered on his face. His gaze holds on to mine as my heart kept beating faster and faster each second. This effect he had on me...it was quite weird. No one has ever had this effect on me that me me feel all squirmy inside.
"How many people are employed huh?" I asked mocking him now as he raised his eyebrow.
"Miss Stayling, I employ over 40 thousand people. There is much responsibility in the job." Mr. Christensen said with a serious face and tone.
"And do you have any interests outside your work?" I questioned.
"I have varied interests, Miss Stayling." A small smile appeared on his face. "Very varied." He continued making me shiver.
"If you are so busy, what do you do to chill out?" I asked wondering about him.
"Chill out?" A small smile came onto his face as he questioned the types of words our generation of dumb millennial's used.
"I mean to relax and to get stress out of your life."
"I am a very wealthy man. I consist of various hobbies and expenses." Mr. Christensen's pearly white teeth showed out of his lips as they popped out to my eyes making me want more each second.
Everything was getting to me. Every word he said. The way his moral jokes came out of his lips.
"What are your plans after college Miss Stayling?" He asked me as I hesitated quickly wondering why is he questioning me.
"I have not made plans yet Mr. Christensen. I still have to get through my final exams." I said as he nodded observing me as I wrote down key notes.
"We have excellent internship programs here Miss Stayling." He pointed out as I gave a small smirk. Is he offering me a job?
"Oh my, I do not think I would fit here." I said as I looked around the office again observing the office.
"And why is that?" He questioned me as I hesitated.
Thoughts filled and went in my mind as I could not make up an answer.
