"ASRIEL! ASRIEL! YOU'RE BACK!" exclaimed the small skeleton tackling the goat with a hug.
"My, aren't you a big boy!" praised Toriel
"YUP! I JUST TURNED 6!" He announced proudly.
"hey paps." said Sans nonchalantly
"BROTHER! THERE YOU ARE! I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU EVERYWHERE!" scolded the little skeleton
"who, me?" joked Sans "i was at Grillby's"
"What's Grillby's?" I questioned
"Why, Grillby's is a restaurant." Toriel pointed at a fairly large building "It's right over there." Almost on cue, my stomach let off a loud grumble.
"Oh! Are you hungry Chara?" asked Asriel pulling out a large box from.............somewhere.I nodded and he handed me the box. Inside was a large piece of pie. "It's butterscotch. Mom makes so much, so there are always leftovers. So I never leave home without some. You never know when you're gonna need it." I devoured it in a few bites
"ASRIEL, WHO IS THAT?" inquired the small skeleton, appearing to have just noticed me.
"Papyrus, this is Chara. Chara, this is Papyrus." answered the prince. "She's gonna stay with us for a while."
"SO YOU ARE GOING TO THE CAPITAL? HEY! CAN SANS AND I COME?" he asked hopefully.
"paps, lets not bother them. we are perfectly fine staying here." insisted Sans. Papyrus' face fell.
"No its fine. You can come if you want. We could use the company." assured Toriel, decisively. Papyrus beamed and grabbed my hand, pulling me down the street.
I clutched at my knife handle, and pulled away, weapon slightly raised. I glimpsed Sans with his hand out of his coat pocket and his pupils gone.
Oooh scary! I thought, a smile spreading across my face. Nodding, and throwing a knowing look in his way, I hurled the knife to the ground. It stabbed into the snow, as easily as it would slide into one's body.
He put his hand back into his pocket and replaced his ketchup packet, his eye sockets still black.
"What's wrong Chara?" asked Toriel
"Oh nothing" I cooed, picking up the knife. I marched over to Sans, and pointed it right in his face. He reached up and snatched the blade from my grip.
"WELL? WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?" asked Papyrus impatiently.
So, we set off once again, Sans trailing the back. Soon we approached a waterfall. I looked around for another route, as to keep from getting wet. When I turned back around, everyone was gone.
"Hey Chara, come on!" Asriel called from behind the waterfall.
I walked through, bracing for the frigid water, only to find it was delightfully warm. Perfectly dry, and comfortably warm, I emerged on the other side. As we continued, we entered a cave, and within seconds, the whole ceiling was full of stars.
