No Distance Can Break Us

Chapter 10

"Merry Christmas, Ashton," Mrs. Irwin says. Mr. Irwin comes and stands next to him.

"This is the best Christmas gift I could've ever asked for," Ashton says to them while looking at me. "I just wish that the present I got you guys was as special as this."

"Seeing you happy is the only thing we could've ever asked for," Mr. Irwin says.

Ashton turns to his parents and smiles. Then he turns back to me. "Come on. Let me show you around the house." He takes my hand and shows me just about every room in his house. I get to meet his siblings. They are all adorable. We finally make it to his room. "And this is my room." He gestures in as he opens the door. I walk inside and go sit on his bed. He comes and sits down next to me. He picks me up and pulls me onto his lap. I lean my head back against him.

"I can't believe this is actually happening," I say, closing my eyes.

"Well, believe it because it is," he replies. The doorbell rings and neither of us move. We hear Ashton's mom go and answer it.

"Ashton! It's Luke and Sara! I'm sending them to your room!" she yelled.

"Okay!" Ashton yelled back. Seconds later, Luke and Sara walked into the room.

"Zoey! It's great to see you again!" Sara said as she came into the room. I got up and greeted her with a hug.

"It's great to see you again!" I replied. Luke stood awkwardly in the doorway. "And nice to see you again, Luke."

"Nice to see you too," Luke replied. I walked over to him and he gave me an awkward hug. Then I went back and sat next to Ashton while Luke and Sara sat on the floor. Ashton wrapped his arm around me. I leaned into him.

"Okay, you guys are so freaking cute together!" Sara said. I blushed. "Quit blushing you ding wop!"

"We haven't even been dating for that long," I answered.

"Well you've been dating long enough to look super freaking cute together."

I looked at Ashton and smiled. He kissed my cheek.

"Oh god," Luke said, playfully covering his eyes. I grabbed the nearest object, which just so happened to be a pillow (lucky Luke), and threw it at him. "Gah!" he yelled as the pillow hit him in the face. I stuck my tongue out at him and he did it back. Then he threw the pillow back at me.

"Sara! Control your boyfriend!" I yelled, laughing.

"Luke! Stop!" She yelled at him then smacked his arm. He grabbed her in a hug and pulled her really close to him.

"Now that's super hella freaking cute," I said. Sara blushed and giggled as she placed a kiss on Luke's nose. He smiled and nuzzled her neck.

"So why did you guys come here?" Ashton asked.

"To hang out with you, dude," Luke answered.

"And your mom told us about your Christmas gift so we wanted to come see Zoey," Sara added.

"I could've gone without seeing her though," Luke said. That won him another smack from Sara and another pillow in his face from me. "I'm kidding guys, geesh." He threw the pillow back at me.

"Stop with the pillow fight!" Ashton yelled then laughed.

"I'm sowwy Ashton," I said, leaning my head on his shoulder.

"Damn. You are so freaking adorable Zoey," he said. I giggled.

"You are so freaking sexy dude, my gosh," I said. Then I went and kissed his cheek. He smiled at me.

"Ashton!! It's time to come have dinner!!" Ashton's mom yelled.

"Okay! We're coming!" he yelled back. Then we all got up and walked to the dining room.
