Whether through the passages of time, the embers of twilight, the or the winds of the great world, some things never change, and thus was the great effect of the Great Spirit War. Long ago, the Triforce was blessed upon our people, and allowed the land to come to life with a golden energy that breathed life and light into all. For thousands of years, the Triforce protected our people, and allowed the many tribes, civilizations, and the kingdom of Hyrule to succeed and thrive. However, after many moons of service, it's power began to dwindle to dangerously low levels, to the point where the prosperity of our kingdom was endangered. When this happened, the dark ones, tribes of incredibly dangerous skill over destructive powers, attempted to strike at this opportunity and take the Triforce as their own. Fighting back, a great war broke out between the Kingdom of Hyrule, allied with the Gerudo Tribe of the Southwest desert region, the Goron tribe of the Eldin Mountains in the northeast, and the Sheikah Tribe of the northwest Hebra Mountains, and the Dark Ones. Succeeding, but losing many men in the battle, the Royal Family of Hyrule gained possession of the Triforce, and seeing as the power of it had gone to an even lower point due to unknown reasons, they sealed it away within a temple in the outskirts of the kingdom. Hyrule was no longer at war, but they had nearly lost the Triforce, and the kingdom fell into a period of depression. The King of Hyrule, hoping to restore the Triforce, created an object that he believed would do the job, and gave a blessing to every goddess known to imbue their power into the object. However, the object failed to do it's job, and it seemed that the blessings had relayed a different message: to wait for the time when the Hero's Spirit would surface once more, after many moons of absence.
