Jane Daxe: 14 years old, 15 in Thera by the end of the book. Part of one of the only known about families from Thera to live on Earth. Has elemental magic. Has the natural ability to make friends with animals.

Ian Daxe: 35 years old. Leader of the Dragon Slayers. Has destruction magic.

Mark Daxe: Jane's father. 28 years old. The first one of the Daxe's to find the portal. Has destruction magic.

Mary Daxe: Jane's mother.26 years old. Has cauldron magic.

Aqid: 17 years old. Was tied with Jane in the exams. Is later referred to as "the red haired man". has destruction magic.

Owa Than: 16 years old. Smartest person to graduate from the university. Has boost magic.

Byto Karo: 15 years old. Has a huge crush on Jane and doesn't hate to admit it. has destruction magic.

Riof Liden: 42 years old. The oldest member of the dragon slayers. Beat his first dragon with one hand. Has destruction magic.

Treg Rea: 32 years old. The only person besides a Daxe who has been to Earth. Was once a teacher at the university. Has boost magic.

Dryme Boer: 20 years old. Joined the Dragon Slayers only 1 hour after killing a dragon. Has destruction magic.

Sero Olran: 24 years old. The strongest high general in the Human Hunters. Has a special kind of magic that is unnamed, but is considered to be a kind of control magic.

Friq Youmin: Name of the old man. 72 years old. Oldest man in the story. Although he has healing magic, he prefers to use scrolls for illusion magic.

Jiok Gu: 40 years old. Strongest in the Human Hunters. Has destruction magic. Is named after the word Jigoku meaning Hell.

Location information:

Mare: Jane's starter city. The city with the most well known university. The first guild in this city was the Dragon Slayers after they moved locations. Has a magic barrier so strong it blocks day/night cycles

Gozy: Smallest city. Is connected to Deaus through an ocean. Has no recorded guilds. Has a university only second to Mare's.

Hebin: Largest city. Only city not seen in the book. The richest city, as well as the oldest city.

Deaus: Most dangerous city. Is full of guilds (or was). Had no magic barrier. Is surrounded by water. Is the only city ever to be completely destroyed.

Dragons: They are the 8th most dangerous monster in Thera

The 10 divines: Although not mentioned in the book the 10 divines are the top 10 wizards/witches in Thera. By the end of the book Jane took Jiok's spot on the 10 divines at the 6th spot.

Oceans: There are only 2 oceans in Thera. The Droog Sea, the one they sailed on in the book, and the smaller Eno Ocean.

They university in Mare: Created by a wizard known as Eloc, who was they only person ever recorded to have more than 1 magic ability that they were born with. The school was made in year 1294 when the magic war was finally stopped by the one who created the school.

Magic war: Lasted from year 872-1294. Longest recorded war in Thera. The war was a huge battle against elves. The humans won and were granted the ability to use magic.

Eloc: The founder of the university in Mare. Was the one person to win the Magic war. Was given all magics even ones meant for witches. Was also cursed to live until he was fairly beaten in battle by someone he considers his equal. Is #1 in the 10 divines. Created 3 portals to Earth, but never went through one.

Portals: The three portals are in Mare,Gozy, and Hebin in Thera. The three portals are in Toronto(Canada) , Missouri, and Rio de Janeiro.

Black weapons: There are 5 sets of three. When the three are put together they make a new weapon. When all 5 new weapons are put together they make a weapon known as Project X.

Project X: A weapon that can cause mass destruction. Only made once by the elves. The weapon destroys the user unless they are considered worthy by one of the five on their own.
