The next morning Jen woke up with 15 new texts from Brad.
"Jen, I love you. Let's talk about this."
"I'm so sorry about last night, please forgive me."
"Baby, I want to fix this please just call me."
"Jen I love you so much, I can't stop thinking about you."
"I left you a voicemail, just.. please listen to it okay."
And more. Tears filled her eyes as she read each word and she soon found herself reading old messages from him and crying even harder. She then sat up and decided to listen to his voicemail. "Here it goes.."
"Hey, baby.. I just left your apartment about an hour ago and I just can't stop thinking about you and what went on between us. I never meant to use you, I just missed you so much. I still do. I still love you more than anything we just can't seem to agree on one point. I'm sorry for everything... But I'm filming a new movie and it would mean a lot if you stopped by because I have something very important to tell you... Bye."
She hung up and thoughts of last night popped in her head. How they had slept together and how he promised he wouldn't leave again but he did. All the fighting, all the heartache, and she asked herself if it would ever get better. But then she realized something that would change everything.
Jen arrived at his trailer a few hours later and walked in to see him sitting on the couch with his head in his hands. She'd never seen him so vulnerable and it killed her.
"Brad.." she whispered and his head shot up quickly and he instantly smiled and got up to wrap her in his arms.
"I'm so glad you came." he said softly choking up. He let her go and they sat on the couch.
"so I did a lot of thinking.." she started and he began to get nervous and she could tell. "and I've decided that I love you, more than anyone has ever loved before.. " she said letting a few fears fall and paused to collect herself. "so I want to marry you Brad. I know I'll always be with you, so why not." she smiled as Brad sat there with his eyes wide open.
"No, baby no you don't have too! I want to be with you no matter what. I mean if I can't have you, then I don't want to marry anyone else. You're the only woman I'll ever love and as long as we're together I'm happy. that's what I wanted to tell you." he finished.
They both laughed at the irony and Brad pulled her to sit on his lap straddling him. "Why couldn't we have said that weeks ago." she whispered leaning her forehead against his.
"I don't know." he chuckled. "I didn't get any sleep last night knowing what happened.." He said again rubbing the small of her back. He must've felt really guilty about that.
"Sh, stop." she smiled and kissed him multiple times short and sweet and then going in for the long one. "I love you, and I'm not letting you leave me anymore even if I have to lock you in the closest." she said messing with his shirt.
"I wouldn't dream of it."
"good." she said and bent down to kiss his neck over and over again. She rested her face there and felt him wrap her up in his arms and she felt protected from everything in the world. "But.. I still want to marry you." she mumbled quietly.
Brad just nodded and made her sit up and look at him. "I promise." he said and began kissing her as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
There was a knock at his door and a man calling out for Brad. "We're starting! Come back out!"
Jen pulled away and looked sad as she started to get off of him.
"No, stay." he said pulling her back down. "I'm not going out there. I'm with you."
But then he heard it again and became annoyed. "come on." he said aggravated and pulled her outside.
"I'm taking the day off." he said to the director as Jen stood slightly behind him holding his hand.
"Brad you don't make those decisi- ohhh." he said pointing at Jen. "Back together again I see. This better not have anything to do with her!"
"It has everything to do with her! Now I'm leaving whether you like it or not." he said sternly. Jen just put her face into Brads back as this all occurred.
"Fine leave, but don't come back." he yelled as they walked away hand in hand.
They began to walk down the street when papparazzi bombarded them with questions and flashing cameras.
