Dad goes out of town and leaves her in charge. Her heel is bruised, but she'll live.
Looking back, she really should have thrown away those notes she got when she wasn't with the boys. Looks like Grumpy's interference was probably a good thing and could have been helpful here. Then again, she still wasn't smart enough to throw away the detention slip. Sentimental reasons, maybe?
Regardless, it was a dumb move. And I mean dumb. Cause mom found it and went wacko. Like certified A-1 wacko.
In the two chapters I usually skip, she ties her up in a shower and turns it on. Leaving her there for a long time. Luckily, thanks to Grumpy's complaining, she'd moved her phone from her boob pocket to her butt pocket. She calls the foreign one and like the avenging warrior that he is, he busts in (literally) and saves her. My hero (not yours.) The strong one helps too. But mostly stands there horrified.
They call in the perfect one and the flirty genius one who are equally horrified. So horrified that when she tells them she wants to go back to the house, they say ok. The boys are once again unwilling, but they obey. It's ok though. They'll put cameras everywhere so nothing can happen without them knowing. I'm sure nothing will happen without them knowing.
Grilled cheese with apples and bacon are apparently marvelous for a throat scarred by a burn. Bonus, though, the boys are going to stay in the room with her every night. But they are incredibly abnormal teenage boys. So of course nothing happens, much to Paloma's disappointment. They spend a week of sneaking in and out, and though they're awful spies, it seems to work.
There's a chapter that serves no other purpose than to establish that there's a sawdust pile that she should be smart enough to stay away from. Oh and to give her enough time away from home so the bratty girl next door steals her clothes. Lucky, the musical one has that black Amex. It's time for the not gay one to do his thing. They spend time at the mall. A lot. And money. A lot. The situation got hard, er, difficult for the not gay one in the dressing room, but it all came out ok in the end. *browgle*
There's Italian food and jealousy. Then lots of swimming. In a bikini. The situation got difficult again. There's a sleepover and cowboy stew. There's dancing and a movie and some more jealousy. And another difficult situation.
Then sleep. Then nightmares that don't just scare the sleeper. There's some possible sleep apnea, too, but not a one of them mentions it to the flirty genius one. Or if they did, for some reason he doesn't do anything about it. There's also teeth brushing. That always helps with my sleep apnea.
She has to go home. There's cameras everywhere, but since they can only stalk her and she can't them, she gets a bit lonely. Good thing the strong one lives alone and on the first floor and sleeps naked. I mean, good thing he's next door.
There's another difficult situation and she goes home. Should have put her phone on do not disturb cause, remember, mom is cray-cray. Except she's not her mom. We know that because after she locked her in a closet, naked, the not gay one came in and stayed with her and the sh*t really hit the fan.
Dad comes home and they hash it out. Synopsis – he's a possible rapist and she's the product. Hmmm, who knew the rapist wouldn't be out in the world, but in her own house.
Like the ass he is, he ships the non-mom off to the hospital and leaves the girls on their own. But he makes sure to give them a trampoline as a gift. Because it's what he once wanted. Too bad they just wanted a dad. Well, her sister does, she has to decide if the boys are friends or family. It appears they're both.
Now, the ultimate question – what do they do about her? She's going to tear them apart. They are just going to have to share her. Willing and obey, willing and obey, unwilling but will obey, Eímai próthymos kai tha ypakoúso, willing and obey, willing and obey, really, really long anticipatory pause, willing and obey. And now it's going to get interesting.
