Chapter 29: Carter's pov*

*one year later*

I was at the doctors waiting for them to tell me what's wrong with me. My heart was beating so fast. Austin stayed at home with Alaina. The doctor walked in.

"I'm really sorry." Said the doctor.

"Why?" I asked.

"You have breast cancer."

I broke down crying.

*at home*

I walked through the door still crying. Austin came running over to me. "What's wrong?" Austin said hugging me. "I-I h-have b-breast c-cancer." I said still crying. Austin started crying. "How bad is it?" Austin asked. "Really bad. I have to get my first treatment next week." I said. "I'm so sorry Carter." Austin said. "Why does this have to happen to me?" I said crying into Austin's chest. "I don't know." Austin said crying. " I should tell Alex. You can stay here." I said. "Ok." Austin said.

*at Alex's*

I knocked on the door and he opened it. "Hey Cart- why are you crying?" He asked. "I need to tell you something." I said. "Okay. Come in." Alex said. I walked to the couch and he sat next to me. "I h-have breast c-cancer." I said stuttering from crying. "Oh my god. Carter, I'm so sorry." He said giving me a hug. "I just cat believe this is happening." I said. "I'll see you later, Alex. I'm really tired." I said. "Bye, love you." He said. "Bye, love you too." I said and gave him a hug.

*at her house*

I walked in and Austin hugged me. "Is he okay?" He asked. "Yeah but he was really upset." I said and laid down on the couch. "I'm gonna take a nap. I'm really tired." I said. "Okay. Love you." Austin said and kissed my forehead. "Love you too." I said and closed my eyes.
